My birthday was Friday and this weekend sucked. First of all, I was sick Friday so we did not go out to Bushwallers like we were going to. I couldn't even have a drink that day cuz my head hurt so bad. Then my brother calls and talks to Cari then asks to talk to me. He wishes me a happy birthday and says a little bit else then asks my dad if he wanted to talk to me. My dad said "No, just tell her happy birthday" so Eric did. AAAAAHHHHH! Why can't my dad get off his lazy butt and tell me happy birthday himself? Last year I went to New York with him for my birthday (we were there Oct 30-Nov1) so I was with him ALL day and he didn't say happy birthday to me until like 5 pm. He just doesn't get it. I am so NOT going into those stories now.
So, then my high schools football team, which was ranked second in the area, proceeded to LOSE Friday night (final score was 37-34--they missed a few PATs but both teams had the same number of TDs). They will still win the state champs--Jamie and I have this theory. When I was in high school, they won the champs my freshman, sophomore, and junior years and lost my senior year. Then Jamie goes (she is 4 years younger than me) and they do the same thing (win 3 years then lose one). So Jamie is a junior in college now and Seneca was state champs last year and the year before, so they have to win this year and lose next year! HEEHEE
Then, Penn State had a rather expected loss in football Saturday. They were playing Ohio State, who is ranked like 7th or something. But we HAD them til the last few minutes. We used our kick off kicker for our field goals and extra points, cuz our regular guy has been sucking, and he had a chance to win it for us with 2 seconds left in the game. I can't blame him for missing--it was a 60 yard attempt--but can you imagine how exciting it would have been for him and EVERYONE if he had made it??? Final score: 21-20.
Lastly, the Skins played today. The Cowboys turned the ball over on their first 3 possessions to us and yet all we scored from that was a measly (sp?) 6 points (they blocked the PAT). We ended up losing 21-14 (I think? lol).
Also, in tennis news, Andy Roddick became number one this week, but since the weekend was so bad, of course he lost as well! But check this out--every time he has played Henman, whoever wins, ends up winning the tournament (Henman won at Legg Mason in DC, Roddick won at the US Open and Henman won this week). Weird! PS, he is hosting SNL this coming weekend--I AM SOOOO EXCITED!
OK, I think I have said enough about sports. Guess I should go to bed...til next time...
