"I have keg abs"
In the stereo: many cds
Happy Cari Birthday! She's skipping 23 this year cuz we can't be the same age and I am 23 forever, so as of today, she is older than me.
I am home! Canada was exciting. We relaxed a lot and didn't do awfully much. We went to Corning, NY one night and went to the Corning Glassworks, which was nice. Then we went to Toronto for 4 nights. Hotel was really nice, in the middle of the city. Had 4 or 5 places to eat inside. Parked 4 floors down, having to go down STEEP hills underground--kinda scary. I like just visiting places and not doing too much. For Jamie, the Toronto Maple Leafs were playing hockey in the street near our hotel with kids and adults in about 6 or 10 different games. Kinda cool, except some guy (NOT a Maple Leaf) came near me cuz the ball came over there and yelled at me to get out of his way--hello, I was walking on the sidewalk! Your ball came up on it! Dammit...
Then, we went to Niagara for 2 nights. This hotel was even nicer than the one in Toronto. It had these HUGE fluffy comfy beds and a view from our room onto the Horseshoe Falls. Even the cot was a regular mattress that stood on one end to move it (not a folding kind)--never seen that before. This was only around $100 Canadian per night! Amazing! We went to the casino our last night. None of us, even mom, had ever been to one before! So, I set myself a limit of $100. We only playing slots and this "Jacks or Better" game, that was a machine and cost a quarter (Canadian) each time. I got addicted to the latter and got in my rhythm (I'm so superstitious--If I start winning without moving, I won't move. For example, at one point, I was holding a batch of quarters in my left hand and I held it until I left that machine, cuz I was doing well, even when my hand went numb). I lost one whole $20 on the slots. Then I started the other game, using a $20 that I got change for. I did really well, and when we left and I changed in my quarters, I got back $27.25, so all night I only spent $12.75!!!! I was so proud of myself! I thought I would get so addicted and attached to the casino I wouldn't leave, but I pleasantly surprised myself! Yay, me!
So, we had a great time but it is so good to be home. I found an email when I got home that Tony now has a blog (see sidebar!). Also got an email that Matt Morris is now selling shirts on his site! One kind is already sold out. 3 are totally not my style and I am even hesitant about the regular t-shirt. It says "I have seen Matt Morris", which I haven't, and I don't like the placement of the picture on the front of the tee. We'll see if I get one...
Dad sent Cari an email that pissed me off. I won't go into it but I am just so frustrated with him. AND I am sick and tired of all this "when I'm gone" talk. STOP FREAKIN' TALKING LIKE YOU'RE GONNA DIE NEXT YEAR. IT MAKES ME UPSET. My little rant for the night...speaking of rants, though, Tony goes on little political ones. It's amusing. One thing about him though is he isn't a great speller, or he doesn't check it much. He has lots of mistakes...which is a big pet peeve of mine. Whatever...still love him! Lata, ladies!
PS, Tony will be opening 3 places for Sophie B. Hawkins (they are on the same label). This is quite exciting, that he will open for someone "known" other than his friends!!!
