So, I have always typed in "new.blogger.com" to get to the page to log in and blog. That has now changed and I can no longer do that. I forgot what to type in otherwise. I guess I could have just typed www.blogger.com but I didn't. I looked down our list of blogger sites and finally found the "www.blogger.com/home" page, which I recognized. I hate change...

Andy Roddick and Mario Ancic are in the semis of Wimbledon. How upsetting, though, that they have to play each other next and I couldn't care less about the other match. One of them better win...

Is my picture showing up for anyone? Or is my computer just the crazy one?

My most annoying moment of the day has to be about my new Dawson's Creek season 3 DVDs. I got an email about it but wasn't sure until I put the DVD in the machine. They replaced the theme song! HELLO! Are you kidding me? Who does not hear "I don't wanna wait" and not think of Dawson's???? That song is SO identified with the show. How could they NOT secure the rights? It's not like this is the first season. 2 seasons plus the finale are already out with the theme song correct. It makes no sense...and the new song SUCKS. I am seriously pissed off...

Tony says (via his blog) that Josh Ackerman is getting married and he's in the wedding. I wonder who Josh is marrying. I always liked him. (FYI, Josh was on MMC, also, as well as being in lots of random commercials and movies in the last few years, and the short-lived Will Friedle show "The Random Years" in 2002)

Today looks like: watching tennis, working out at Curves, watching some tennis (unfortunately, it's only women today), going out to dinner maybe, going to my employee meeting. I can't forget my meeting. I am worried I might forget. Mom keeps remembering so hopefully she won't let me forget. It was so nice outside yesterday, I should have sat outside...but I watched tennis. I may go see what it's like out there today and sit out. I don't care that much about the women's tennis, especially since most of the matches shown are on tape, and I can find the scores online. How frustrating. I hate when NBC has the tennis. ESPN is much better about showing it live...and I like their commentators better (except Martina Hingis).

Nothing else to say right now. I should go eat something, cuz apparently you have a better workout when you eat about an hour before your workout.

I am sure you all heard about what the vice president said to a senator. The Republicans are being so hypocritical. I mean, the one instance they say Kerry used the f-word, he was talking about something, not a person. This is at least the second time the vp or pres have talked to or about a person using profanity. How ridiculous. And right wing groups are trying to defend him. Oh please...

Tennis was pretty exciting yesterday. #3 Coria lost, as did the #2 on the women's side. So sad I have to go work at 8 and miss a lot of matches today, including Roddick. I missed his yesterday, cuz it started at 6 AM our time...Play is supposed to start at noon there, 7 here today...but we don't get it on TV until 8! I did get up today at 5:30 for SOME UNKNOWN REASON. Alrighty, better eat some breakfast...lata

Just got home from Tony. He was amazing. He sang for nearly 1 1/2 hours. Yay. And he sang songs I like that are newer and not on any CDs. And I got my sweatshirt I wanted. And I finally got a picture with him (Cari, it better turn out good!). And the opening act was pretty good. Jamie and I signed up for her email updates. Her name is Lea but I wouldn't know how to search to see if she has a site, since that's such a popular name and she had no last name...

Tennis today was mostly good. Mardy Fish lost, which was sad. But winners today included Capriati, Ginepri, Gambill, Martin, Ancic, Ferrero, Robredo, Dent, Spadea, Haas and Roddick (that's 7 Americans, if you're counting). AND the best part of today was when Venus Williams lost. And she acted like a mature adult about it all. She, in an interview, actually said her opponent played well and should have won! Jamie and I were preparing ourselves for Venus' excuse(s), which is usually the case. But it wasn't. I don't think Venus played that awfully bad, though it obviously wasn't her best.

Tomorrow is Curves to work out then actually work. Jamie is leaving for the weekend tomorrow, so I'll miss her, especially since Cari is working all weekend. Maybe I will give Jodi and call and we can check out Torrid, my new favorite store.

In the stereo: some shit on a music choice digital channel that I'm too lazy to get up to change

So, today was a fairly boring day. No tennis since it rained all day in England. I find it hilarious when it's raining here and in England. It only rained here real early. Jamie came over and we played 4 person Canasta and taught Jamie to play Tripoley. The man came to install LoJack on Cari's car. Mom and I went to Curves. We finished Tripoley. I baked a cake. We had dinner, while I smoked the house up. So fun...

Tomorrow night is Tony!!! Sooooo excited...they better have a sweatshirt in my size! He's coming to Annapolis in a few weeks but he is opening for someone and tickets are $22.50. I went to the other guys site and he sounds like he sucks. And as of 2 days ago, there were only 13 tickets left, and that was the day we found out Tony would be there. Lots of very famous people are playing there this summer, I guess hence the price. People like Edwin McCain, Carolyn Dawn Johnson and others (many of which are country stars). I would love to go but I'm sorry, Tony is not worth $22.50 right now, unless he played for over an hour, which I highly doubt. Can't wait for tomorrow...hopefully there will be some tennis to watch.

I enjoy being home and tennis actually being on television. It's when the rain falls in England and they replay matches I have already seen TODAY that frustrates me. Hello, how about a little Gambill beating Mirnyi action? Gambill's American and Mirnyi was seeded! I don't need to see the Brit struggle AGAIN. And poor Dent and Robredo. They both are so close to winning their respective matches, with Dent about to serve for the match and Robredo just needing something like 2 games. And the Coria match that was started YESTERDAY keeps getting interrupted. That Coria's a bastard. He yelled something at his opponent when he was hit by the ball, like Moodie hit him on purpose. And he gives the evil eye to the people working there when HE falls. I think he needs some new shoes and to stop blaming other people for his problems. He hurt himself when he fell right before the last rain delay so maybe he won't be able to continue...one can hope...and, I'd like to see Andy play. His match got so far as 4-2 in the first set and it's been rained out twice. Argh...

Worked again last night. This time it was with the other owner. She's young. We talked a lot yesterday. She's very nice. My feet hurt again but what're ya gonna do?

Sex And The City from the beginning tonight...I can't wait!

Oh just found out tripod has blogs. Wish I had known this months ago. I kinda made one through my website (see link on right) but I will probably continue to use this one mainly.

Since I seem to not be getting comments, I can only assume maybe they are still messing up so I will put back in the blogger comments and you can comment on those...or you can use the chatterbox :)

Entertainment Weekly talked about this blog in the most recent issue. It's someone who claims to be a famous actor. No one knows if they are...and no one knows who they are if they are. Hmmm....I only read a few entries but with so many fakes out there, how real could it be?

Worked at Curves Friday. Kinda boring. My feet were killing me when I got home. I haven't had a job in forever where I have to stand for 5 hours straight. I kept hoping people would leave so I'd be able to sit down for a minute but I guess I was hoping too much that once it got down to one person on the machines, someone new came. I work again tomorrow.

Did I mention we saw The Day After Tomorrow? Loved it. Got GQ with Jake on the cover...he looks absolutely scrumtious. Is that how I spell that word? Oh well...not much else to blog about. Such nice weather today. I wished we had a porch or a deck I could have sat outside on. Or just a hammock, like Jamie. Her cousin was lying in it earlier. I sat on Jamies front stoop with her for a few hours earlier. It's amazing we always find tons of stuff to talk about. We sit and talk for hours many days a week. We were on the phone the other day for over an hour. You would think we would run out of things to say to one another. But apparently we haven't. It's nice having someone around to talk to and do things with...since Cari works so much and it's so far away...

I think I will go watch Strong Medicine, which mom taped for me, since I was talking to Jamie...lata...

Jamie had to run to UMD yesterday so I offered to drive her, instead of her having to go with her cousin at the butt crack of dawn. Fun times...except for the blister my flip flops gave me (I have been living in them for over a month and they haven't done this to me before) and the burn I got from the sun. May I should get a small bottle of sunscreen to carry in my purse. That way I won't keep getting burned cuz I forgot to apply. And then, I wouldn't complain all night of being itchy and red.

I made copies of a Tony flier about next Thursdays show. We posted a bunch around UMD's campus. May do some more posting today...Montgomery College? I may ask people at Curves if I can put one up (I see ads for school fairs and other things. Why not?) I mean I will be working there, starting tomorrow, so I will be around to take it down next week when the date passes.

Alright, nothing else to say...Sex and The City on TBS has been interesting, although they aren't showing it in order until next week. Shower time...

8 days 'til Tony

OK, it's getting out of control. Some Canadian found my site through searching "mens suck a guy dick show pictures". ARE YOU KIDDING ME????

So, when Cari applied at Suncoast in September, I knew the manager, Mike. He was fired before she even started working. Well, she's been asst manager at the Hagerstown store for a month now, under a manager also named Mike. He was fired yesterday. How weird. I told Cari she's no longer allowed to work under anyone named Mike.

Watched 90210 this morning and now have on Melrose Place. lol Makes me feel like I'm in high school again.

I had something else to say but I forget now...it's probably my hunger eating away at me. I better go find some breakfast...then it'll be off to College Park to drive Jamie.

Sunday, June 13, 2004

I haven't sat on the couch in months but since Parsons came and I slept on the couch, I have been only sitting there. I go through these stages--sit on the couch, sit on the chair, sit on the couch...

Finished another book. This one took me about a day, excluding the first 19 pages I read two nights ago. This one was called "Pink Slip Party" and was HILARIOUS. The main character brings humor into her life so often it was great. She got fired from her job so she ended up sending out resumes all over, many slightly different with fake facts about what she has done and ridiculous requests from the company she is applying. The book is basically about her getting her life straightened out. Sooooo funny.

Wearin' muh new No Doubt shirt and Blink wrist sweat band. Before I go out, I think I will remove the sweat band. I wore it to Curves yesterday but I think it may be too much for shopping.

Check out my audioblog from yesterday. How cool.

yay, it worked! Also, as a side note, in case you don't already know, my comments are weird and sometimes you have to reload the page in order for the link to work. It happens on my, Cari's and Heather's blogs but not for Amy's and Sarah's for me.

"Save a horse, ride a cowboy"

In the stereo: VH1 Country

well, I am glad I was able to sleep in today...though 8:30 isn't late. This morning, whenever I feel like getting my butt in gear, the school is having the special ed end of the year party. Last year, the kids played outside all morning, we had lunch outside with tons of food and watched a movie in the afternoon. Today, it is raining. I don't know what will happen. At about 12:30, I am subbing in a 1st grade class cuz the teacher's son is graduating from preschool (although I find it RIDICULOUS, it is rather cute). So, this afternoon, there is a teachers vs. kids (4th and 5th grade) volleyball game. I can't remember what else she told me we would be doing but it should be smooth sailing. Then, when I get home, either Parsons will already be here or she will be almost here. Yay! Can't wait for the concert--it's a good thing we got seats underneath cuz I can't imagine how exciting the concert would be standing on the lawn in the rain.

Yesterday in art went fine. We have 2 art teachers and both were out yesterday. SO, in the morning, since it didn't rain, I had nothing to do. I helped out the other art sub. She had 2 classes I knew (headstart and the 1st grade I am in today). Then, the afternoon went well, with the kids doing what they were supposed to. It may have helped that I knew all those kids. So, my first time subbing in art went fine--I don't know what I had been scared of.

When I went to Curves yesterday, I told Marsha (one of the owners) "I turned in my application Tuesday". She said "so you wanna try this out?" So relieved there was nothing to it (IN all my jobs over the years, I have been on ONE interview) I am working the first time next Friday. Kinda nervous, cuz she said something about Sally not talking enough when we were standing there. This means I will have to talk a lot to customers. Everyone knows I don't approach strangers. Jamie said I will get over this and I said "I am 24 and haven't gotten over it yet, it won't happen". We'll see...

Went next door last night and talked to Jamie for forever. When I came home, there was a cicada on the front stoop. I think they should be gone now. This one obviously doesn't follow any trends.

Anyway, I guess I will go eat something and get ready to do whatever...lata

Wednesday, June 09, 2004

Well, Jamie told me I wouldn't be able to get rid of her cuz she bookmarked my blog but I actually have seemed to get rid of evryone cuz I haven't had a comment in almost a week, not even from Cari.

I survived field day...barely. I put on sunblock but I still am bright pink. I am not a happy camper. I also have very sore feet.

Cari's car is perfect, so says our mechanic, so when she gets home from work, we are gonna go get it and go to eat dinner in Frederick with Jamie. Cari wants to drive it around before she has to drive it all the way to Hagerstown for work tomorrow.

I need a shower...I just feel icky...

"Hello, Japan"

(inside joke)

I checked out blogs today but every time I clicked on comments, my internet froze (I think every time--I didn't comment today did I?). The internet (and cable) went out this afternoon. And, needless to say, the internet is back finally and still keeps freezing on me. I know, Amy, you now have 2 comments on a post that earlier had been posted 5 times and I really wanted to comment "and I like to post the same thing 5 times" but maybe you caught it or someone else commented that.

Picked up Cari's car today. She couldn't before she had to go to work so mom and I got it. It's so perty. The guy we worked with at Enterprise was nice and kinda cute but had a laugh that was annoying as shit. A girl who worked there graduated high school with me. She is the asst. manager of the rental part. And, Cari, her name is the same as Eric's mom (and a girl you graduated high school with).

Field day tomorrow...wish me luck (against the sun).

Monday, June 07, 2004

Cari found a car. Silver 2004 Nissan Sentra with only 4,000 miles on it. It's under $13,000. We called our mechanic, who we always check with, and he couldn't believe the price and he loves Nissans so he said go for it. I'm a little jealous but once she starts paying for it, I guess I won't be.

Wednesday I sub in the 4/5 class and Lori informed me TODAY (I got the job over a month ago) that it will be field day so wear comfortable clothes (and, I add, sunscreen). Then, I am in art on Thursday and I found out the 5th grade has their pool party that day so I won't have any classes until the afternoon. I told the teacher to only call it in and take the afternoon off. She said she'd check with the secretary, since she won't be able to be there in the morning no matter what. I don't want to have to go in in the morning and have to sit around for 4 hours doing nothing. Although, I am sure they would find something for me to do.

Mom was taped weeks ago for a video the county shows to all schools about the new grading policy. She brought the tape home today for us to see. I know Watkins Mill showed the tape today at the staff meeting so when I go in on Wednesday, I should ask people if they saw my mom (she was in a lot of the video). Yay, my mom's famous...in our county:)

Talked to Parsons finally tonight. She should be down Friday around 3. Yay! I can't wait! For the concert...and to see her! LOL

Tony is coming back to VA on the 24th. Got the email today. I absolutely can't wait. Especially since I just said I was going through withdrawal. Yay...sweatshirt, here I come...

Sunday, June 06, 2004

Jamie has been emailing back and forth with Dean Fields, who opened for Tony in VA in November. She didn't go with us then but she listened to his CD, which Cari bought. She keeps telling him how he needs to come back to the area. He emailed her back and said he would have a bunch of dates in Maryland in August. Well, I went to the site last night and he is coming to 3 Borders. August 5th, he will be in Hagerstown, August 6th in Frederick and August 7th in...GERMANTOWN!!! We think we may go to all three. I mean, Cari works in Hagerstown, Frederick is so close (plus that one's a Friday) and hello, Germantown is here...cuz as Jamie says, we live in Germantown. I just can't get over how exciting it is that he will be right around the corner! I can't wait 2 months...

So, the Style Invitational, the weekly contest in The Washington Post, is really funny today. The contest was to take 2 real people/characters/inanimate objects with a part of their names the same and state the difference in them. Here are some funny entries:

Janet Jackson and Michael Jackson: at least when Michael exposes himself in front of the youth of America, he has the decency to do it in the privacy of his own bedroom.
Donald Rumsfeld and Donald Duck: when we can't understand Donald Duck, it's funny.
Lil' Kim and Kim Jong Il: Although both are short and like to party, Lil' Kim doesn't perm her hair.
Jesse Ventura and Ace Ventura: Ace wasn't ashamed to admit when he was talking out of his butt.
George W. Bush and George of the Jungle: George of the Jungle started as a cartoon and then went to live action.
Curious George and George W. Bush: One of them makes a real effort to find out what's going on.
Barry Bonds and Barry White: Both had a lot of hits but White helped a lot more people score.
Donald Trump and Ronald McDonald: Although both are successful commercial clowns, Ronald has much better hair.
Donald Rumsfeld and Donald Trump: Trump knows when to say "you're fired!"
Janet Reno and Janet Jackson: Reno brashly showed the nation her best.
Donald Duck and Donald Rumsfeld: at least the duck wears a uniform.
The difference between John Adams (2nd president) and John Quincy Adams (6th) is similar to the difference between George H.W. Bush (41) and George W. Bush (43) is that 6-2=4 and 43-41=2, which is the square root of 4, which is exactly the way the Trilateral Commission planned it, DON'T YOU SEE? IT'S SO OBVIOUS!!!

Friday, June 04, 2004

Not much to blog about today. I love having Jamie home. It's so nice having someone around, especially since Cari's like NEVER around anymore. And I love her hammock. Speaking of hammocks, I wanna go back to Capon. Surprise Surprise. Mom and I were sitting at dinner and discussed gas prices. Last weekend, on Friday, going away, we saw this one station was 1.98. We decided to wait until coming home Tuesday and it went down to 1.89! Our prices in Germantown were 2.17 and now are 2.16! Why would they go down 9 cents (the one I talked about was the cheapest we saw but most went down 8-9 cents) in Virginia and only a penny at home? I hate living in an expensive area...Anyway, so I told mom that is another excuse to go back to Capon, cheaper gas on the way. Like we need another excuse to go back...

Jamie and I want to see Tony real bad. I am going through withdrawal. I got emails today about his new merchandise, which is not available on his website yet, but is at shows. There are promo flats, wife beaters in white and black, t-shirts and a hooded sweatshirt. I want the sweatshirt...it's only $20! He is in Philly tomorrow night, which is the closest he will be to us, but it's too late to make plans now. He will also be in NY, NJ, Pittsburgh and New Hope, PA. Argh...

Thursday, June 03, 2004

Can someone tell me what ESPN stands for? I am blanking out...but I am pretty sure N stands for Network and S for sports...I am positive the S does NOT stand for spelling bee...why oh why?????????????

What's this about a new gay cable channel?

I finally saw a live cicada yesterday on Jamie's driveway. I hope this doesn't mean they will be swarming us soon. Shouldn't they be going away????

I thought I had something exciting to write about but I guess not...I will go have a little something to eat and I may be back later...

"so here's to all my sisters out there keeping it country, Let me get a big hell yeah from the redneck girls like me, HELL YEAH!"

In the stereo: VH1 Country

OK, I was wrong, I have 7 bug bites. And they are driving me crazy. Nothing seems to help the itch go away. 2 are on fingers, 1 on an arm and the other 4 on legs (3 on one leg). Aaaaaaahhhhhhhh...but I keep telling myself this is better than 41.

I found about 6 cicada wings on the edge of our driveway but no bodies...hmmmm...

I think maybe I should eat something...since the only thing I have eaten since 2 yesterday was 2 cookies (that we swiped from Capon). I wanna go back to Capon. I wanna lay in the hammock. I want the cooler mountain air. Oh, wait, I just saw it's only 67 here now...much better than last week.

Tuesday, June 01, 2004

We are home. I managed to escape out of there with a grand total of (drumroll please)...about 5 bug bites. It's a miracle, considering I only wore pants today and one other day. We didn't see too many cicadas. There was one tree where I saw a ton of their shells they shed but I would say we saw many more on our way on Friday than we saw actually there all weekend.

I miss it already. I don't think I had a headache all weekend. As soon as we got on 270, I started feeling one come on. I wonder if it's the atmosphere or whether I subconsciously stress myself out about life. Whatever it is, I need to fix it.

I read 2 1/2 books this weekend. I am so proud! I never read so much. The first one is called Calling Romeo and I started it in Canada and never read at home. It was a good story but the writing was terrible--there were so many mistakes a copy editor should find. The second book was The Notebook. I cried a ton. I finished it in less than a day. It was fabulous and I can't wait for the movie (as soon as I finish writing here, I have to look at the trailer again). The last book was Can You Keep A Secret?, which came out a few months ago. It was fabulous as well. It was so funny and of course I cried, but just a little. Cari kept getting mad at me for laughing so much. Quote from the last: "Actually, Artemis, I have. I just read this really good book called What to Do If Your Colleague Is an Obnoxious Cow Who Picks Her Nose When She Thinks No One's Looking".

The food was fabulous, as always. We saw Emily (who's in the family that owns Capon), her husband, and their twins, who were born last June 3 months prematurely. A girl and a boy (who weighed 2.1 and 1.6 pounds, respectively, at birth!). So cute, they look just like their dad. We also got to see another baby in the family, who is 11 months old. We had seen her last July but man she is absolutely beautiful. I don't know if I have ever seen such a beautiful baby under a year old. I know all (ok, most) babies are cute but man, she has this smile that lights up your face and beautiful eyes and she makes these noises that were funny. She said bye to us after lunch today...yay! We also saw Megan, who is also in the family. She is 20 (I think) and is heading to Argentina for 5 months in July. She seemed so excited.

So, it's now back to the real world and no planned vacations until football season. Cari has said she will have my car if I want to get a new one and have the car payments. I just can't decide what I want to do. I might have to make a pro/con list. We'll see...guess that's about it (boy that was rather lengthy). See ya later alligator...s...
