Hey all! Of course, our computer is still acting up. Cari and I are currently at the library and just happened to get computers next to each other (there was a waiting list). Boy, haven't been to the library in a while--they changed how you do the whole computer stuff. If there's a wait, you have to scan your library card in and it will pop up on the screen and will tell you when your computer is ready and you have 5 minutes to log in. Then you have to enter your long card number and pin number on the computer that is showing you were reserved there. How crazy. I kinda like it better than before though--they used to keep your driver's license when you went on the computer. I was a little worried about that today, you know this day and age and all the anti-identity theft stuff out there they say you should do. Anyway...

Capon was OK. Penn State lost. Eric and I watched the game with another couple who were Penn State fans, so that was cool. It was pretty relaxing, til the day we left when Eric was just getting annoying and dad was pissing me off. I was so glad to be home...only to find out Cari and mom went to Trader Joe's without me! :(

Nothing else much going on. FYI, Jamie did end up getting that box we sent her, although it showed up in 2 weeks not the 2 days I was told it would take. Kinda leery about sending her anything again...but whatever. She was home this weekend but not when I was home Sunday. :( May not see her until my birthday.

Bought the new special edition Footloose DVD yesterday, as well as Degrassi: The Next Generation first season DVDs. Cari and I watched the extras on the latter yesterday. Heehee...Aladdin comes out next week! It's my favorite! But I am not buying it...I need to stop buying things before my birthday.

Alrighty, I guess that's it for now. We'll see when I get to a working computer next. Enjoy yourselves and I'll talk to you soon!

It has been forever it feels like. Our computer is acting up again, of course. Haven't been able to get on all week, I don't think. Checked my email when I subbed Monday and Wednesday, but didn't want to get on here since they can watch what we do at school. Right now, I am at my dad's house before we leave for Capon this weekend. Yay, Capon!

Hope everyone out there is doing well. I have had a wacky week, working my jobs at weird times so I haven't had 2 days' schedules the same at all. The classes I subbed it were good. I had to work early at Curves yesterday so it was weird. Anyway, nothing I can think of to say right now. I may end up doing a few audio posts in the coming days/weeks/whatever until our computer is fixed...unless I drag myself to the library. I asked Jodi yesterday after lunch if she wanted to go to check email and stuff (her computer is acting crazy too) but she wanted to get home. Anyway, that's all for now. See ya...wouldn't wanna be ya (sike...whoa, do I sound like I'm in middle school!).

PS, I see what you all see on this computer. No ladybug background, which makes me sad. It's just white. I'll have to see what I can do about that.

"You're like my favorite underwear"

Saw 2 movies today and bought 5 new CDs. How horrible of me. We went to see Wimbledon in the theater. I didn't like it much. I didn't like Paul Bettany and Kirsten was OK. The storyline was alright but the beginning was what I didn't like most. Cari and I just watched Scary Movie 3. It was very funny. It was also very short (74 minutes!). I got CDs from Alter Bridge, All-American Rejects, Marc Broussard, Hoobastank, and (drumroll please...a woman!) Liz Phair. The title is in a song of Liz Phair's. That's the only CD I have listened to so far. It's OK.

I have 2 sub jobs this week. Guess that's good since I am only at Curves one day this week. Tomorrow, I have to sub then go straight to Curves. I get to be in for Molly so it should be ok. Wednesday, I am in third grade for the morning. She says her class is really good this year. I know all the kids in that grade who were at the school last year and as far as I know, they were good. So, yay!

Every time I go see a movie, at least at our theater, they show the "It's Inconsiderate Cell Phone Man" commercial. I have always thought it was funny but for some reason today, I couldn't stop laughing. He's at his wedding and his cell rings. He turns around, answers it and says "Hey dude, what's up?" and the face he makes is so funny. More scenes follow but it's just so funny. You probably have to see it to think it's funny so if you haven't...you're missing out. Did a little search on the internet, hoping I could link it on here (and see it again) but no such luck. We also saw the Adrien Brody coke commercial at the theater today. Mmmmmmmmm...

Game was fun. We won. It seemed like it would be rainy. Half of the drive up it was pouring but it stopped and we saw sun for the rest of the day. (They got so much rain in PA high school games had to be canceled Friday due to water build-up on the field and some roads, including part of rt 322, were shut down this afternoon bc of a river overflowing.) Luckily, I remembered sun block, though I still feel I got some sun on my hands and ears. It was chilly in the stands--it wasn't even 70 on the ground and it's colder up high so...we got in town with time to stop at WalMart so I bought a sweatshirt that I ended up wearing to keep me at least a little warm.

We pretty much looked like shit in the first quarter. Our first possession we drove it 70 yards and Zach ended up fumbling. That was upsetting but things kinda turned around. We still ended up with 6 turnovers, which is insane, but we won and I think our defense looked pretty solid, once they got started.

When mom and I got to the parking areas, it seemed so dead. We got an amazingly close spot. But, the stadium filled up mostly. We think it's was cuz it was so early...people wanted to tailgate before, sleep in...and you know those crazy drunk/hungover college kids. We were shocked the student sections filled up. It's so much nicer when the stadium's full. It's much more intense. And our guys love it when the crowd gets loud. I've seen some teams on tv look like they want the crowd to hush but our guys never do that. It bothers me when the crowd is silent!

Unfortunately, Maryland lost to WVU today. At least it was in overtime...but still. Alrighty, I slept 6 hours last night and slept some both ways today but I am beat...so, good night!

testing...

It's raining, I have a bad headache, I am cranky, my thigh hurts, I am sleepy, I have to work at 3.  Argh.  I am really drained from working so much this week.  I got home Wednesday rather upset and nothing had happened so I don't know why.  I think my sleeping habits are really catching up to me.  I have been obsessed with beading before I sleep so even if I am tired when I start, it wakes me up and I am up for hours.  When I wrote my last blog?  I went to my room and ended up watching 6 episodes of Dawson's.  SIX.  That's over 4 hours.  That's ridiculous.  Last night, I was making a necklace I had started before but really wanted to finish.  I watched Survivor live, then Joey and Will and Grace (W&G was hilarious!), which I had taped.  Watched 2 GH's I was behind on, even the "Obsess Completely" The OC special I had also taped, and ran out of stuff to watch cuz I was so awake, still making my necklace.  I left The Fresh Prince on cuz there was nothing else but I needed something while I was beading.  The necklace didn't turn out as I really wanted it even.  It's ok but not exciting.  I have to sleep early tonight cuz mom and I are leaving before 7 to get to the game tomorrow...why does this one have to be a noon game but the first one when we stayed up there was at 3:30????

Nothing else to really say.  Blogger is being weird so hopefully this will publish, via email.  Always nice to try new things.  Lata...

"even when it did try to get in my mind, I gave it a swift kick outta there" -Lois

It's hard to type. We have a promotion going on at work this month. Every time someone comes to work out, they can chose an "egg". They are those plastic things in those machines in grocery stores. Each one has a prize or Curves buck in it. Some are very hard to open so I end up opening them for most people. I have what I like to refer to as "battle scars" from opening them. I keep cutting my middle finger on the lids, so I currently have a band-aid on it, making it hard to type...wow, long story!

I swear, though I shouldn't (*wink*), every time I hear "Cowboy" on Big Brother talk, I lose brain cells. He sounds like the STUPIDEST person I have ever heard. And, he tries to use big words to make himself sound smarter...only to use them incorrectly, making himself look dumber. I honestly wonder how the hell he can have people like him, cuz it's just a damn shame. And, it pains me that he has made it to the last 3. I really hope Diane wins HOH and boots him. Then, he'll be pissed and Drew will end up with the money...cuz Diane has pissed off quite a few people.

DC people are such idiots. Are you kidding me that they have elected Marion Barry to City Council? You got rid of him for years and yet you want him back? Plus, I swear they must think the "Kwame Brown" running for something is the basketball player. He won over someone who has been in office for 14 years...not that I don't think they may want change...but some people see "Kwame Brown" and I am sure they think he plays bball (since, as you may not know, there is a Kwame Brown who plays for the Washington Wizards).

I have been watching episodes of Dawson's Creek for the past few nights. I love that show...as if you didn't know. Cari preordered season 4 for me today. I can't wait cuz that is my overall favorite season. 2 of my favorite episodes are in season 3, which is what I have been watching, but I love season 4 because Pacey and Joey are together for most of it. And I heart Josh Jackson.

Apparently, Ebert and Roeper gave "Cellular" 2 thumbs up. That makes me want to see it even more. I can't wait! Oh, there are so many movies I want to see in the coming month. And so many TV shows on DVD coming out I want...Degrassi comes out in 2 weeks, Felicity is out soon (Cari preordered it for me as well), Dawson's Creek...and The O.C.!!!! The O.C. comes out the end of October...guess what I'm getting myself as a birthday present? "Aladdin" also comes out on special edition DVD...and that's my favorite Disney movie, so it makes me happy as well. I don't think I will end up buying that one myself. I will ask for it for my birthday and I am sure someone will buy it for me:)

I had something else to blog about but I forget. I am working at Curves EVERY DAY this week, filling in today, tomorrow and Thursday for people. It's kinda tiring already, and I've only done 2 days in a row. At least the next 2 days are with Sally. I really enjoy working with her and I haven't been able to in probably 2 months. Alrighty, I am heading for my room for another Dawson's fest...we'll see how many episodes I last through--cuz I am actually really tired and it's only 11:17 (all this going to bed late must be catching up with me)...g'nite y'all!

"...since Bruce Springstein, Madonna, way before Nirvana there was U2 and Blondie, her music still on MTV..."

I can’t get over these 2 commercials I just saw on TV. The Skins game is on. The first commercial had 2 women in the bath dept of a store, one looking at towels, the second only in the background. A third woman comes over and bends over to look at a towel or something, near the first woman. That first woman picks up a towel and twists it and smacks the other on her ass! The third woman screams. The screen then flashes “Must be football season”. I was horrified! This was followed immediately by another commercial. 2 boys (under age 8, probably) had on those helmet things that guys drink beer from through 2 straws. These boys had cartons of milk on the helmets that they were drinking. You can vaguely see adults sitting in the foreground of the camera. The milk dries up and one of the boys burps! The screen then flashed “Must be football season”. I just couldn’t stop laughing. It was so hilarious! And I absolutely had to blog this before it got out of my head...

Love that Bowling For Soup song, "1985" (hence, the title). Love the video even more. If you haven't seen it, you're missing out. Bowling For Soup dresses up, making fun of quite a few 80's videos. The first one is that Robert Palmer video. The whole band (including fat guys) are dressed in black dresses, with the lead singer dressed as Robert Palmer was. The lead singer also dresses like George Michael, which was hilarious--dangly earring, tight jeans and all...soo funny! I especially love the end when the woman is dancing on the car and her husband comes out and says "Honey, what in the hell are you doing?"

Just watched "Made" on MTV. I haven't liked any episodes until I saw this one. This was about a girl who was popular and drove a BMW who wanted to ride a BMX bike in extreme sports. She took 5 weeks to learn, going to camps and meeting Dave Mirra, and ended up landing a back flip in competition. She is only the second girl to ever do so, and they all couldn't believe she did it after only learning the trick days before. The people who taught her didn't even want her to do it cuz she could seriously injure herself (or even die, if landing on her head in the wrong way)if something went wrong midair. It was really pretty awesome and I was very impressed.

I really want the Armani Exchange shirt that says "think fashion makes a statement?" on the front and "try voting 11.2.04" on the back. I just went to the site. They only go up to size large...and they are sold out of everything but small and extra small! That's CRAZY. I also would like the shirt Jake Gyllenhaal wore months ago that said "I'm Young And I Vote" but I searched the web and came up with nothing. Plus, every month or so someone else searches the web for it and comes up with my blog, since I mentioned it when I saw it months ago. Argh.

Very upset at Andy. He lost the first 2 sets, not cuz he played bad but b/c Johansson played better. Then, he comes back and wins the next 2, including breaking Johansson twice in the fourth...then he loses. I mean, it would have been better if he lost early. Better if he had been broken early in the 5th even. But to have been broken on your LAST service game of the match and let the guy then have one service game to win was just ridiculous. I was on the edge of my seat...or I was in my mind. I was superstitious and was lying on my stomach cuz he did well when I was earlier. My stomach was in knots and it exploded in anger when he was broken. I am very upset...and I am sure he is as well. Now, if only the final could be Henman and Hewitt. And I prefer Henman to win, since he hasn't ever won a grand slam but I wouldn't be too upset if Hewitt won. If, on the other hand, the final is Federer-Johansson, I am not watching. I wouldn't care at all. Of course, if Johansson won, it would make Andy not look so bad plus Federer has 3 grand slams, including 2 this year so he doesn't need another. Grr Argh...and good night.

So I have been thinking about what I want for my birthday. I have come up with 2 things that would make it the best birthday ever--snow and John Kerry elected president. With the election just 2 days after my birthday, it could make or break my year for me. Let's hope it's a great birthday!

Other things I really want are autographed black and white 8 X 10s of stars I love. I started getting some a few years ago and eventually I would like to have them all in simple black frames on a wall. Currently, I have no wall space. But maybe eventually whenever I move out, I will. I currently have Tony, *N SYNC, Tim McGraw, Chris O'Donnell, Gavin Rossdale (which didn't actually come b&w--it is greenish! but I am over it...now), and Jon Bon Jovi. Every so often, I check ebay but frequently they only have colored photos of the celebs (or they aren't autographed) and since it started with Tony and *N SYNC being b&w/autographed and I continued that, I'd like them all to be the same. Ones I check on that I would like most are Jake Gyllenhaal, Adam Brody, Oliver Hudson, Josh Jackson, Jared Leto, and Tyler Christopher. If someone stumbles across any, let me know! And I refuse to pay more than $30...unless it's an amazing picture of Jake! (I found some great pictures of Jake, colored mostly, some autographed, one b&w no auto...but I really want it with my theme!)

Anyone hear Joey "Fat One" is engaged? How exciting for him! Now Lance...I'm waiting!

just went to the Hood website. Looked around a bit and found a page with Hood songs on it. However, the nun song is nowhere. I wonder if it ever was on there (well, probably not). But still, with the boys around, I wonder if it's still sung at all. I did a search on google for it and came up with nothing. So, in light of this, I decided to post it here, in case someone googles it. Maybe, they will get a link to my blog!!!

The Nun Song

We are the nuns, nuns, nuns of Hood College
There's not a damn man in this nunnery
And every night at 10 they lock the doors
I don't know what the hell I ever came here for

And when I'm on that train and homeward-bound
I'm gonna turn that damn town upside down
I'm gonna smoke and drink and neck and peck
Oh what the heck!
To hell with Hood College!

"I can cry and I'm sensitive" -Seth

If you haven't heard my post from yesterday, listen. I can't get over Wicker Park--I don't know why but I really enjoyed it. It's not like an outstanding film but I really really liked it. I can't wait to see "The Forgotten", "First Daughter" and "Cellular". And I'ma need some movies to come out on DVD...wish I had money. And I wish our pay-per-view worked. I tried ordering a movie (I am refraining from naming it cuz you will all laugh) but it came up as a blank screen. Cari ordered the football game Saturday on pay-per-view and it was fine so I don't get why normal pay-per-view movies won't work. And, Cari needs to borrow Scary Movie 3 from her boss soon or I am gonna end up trying to get that on pay-per-view.

I haven't rented a movie in months. I belonged to Blockbuster's Reward Zone or whatever it was. That ran out in March. I used to rent movies weekly, many times 3 a week, hence why the rewards program was good for me. I earned so many free rentals. Then, I just stopped. I am not sure why. Needless to say, now I guess I don't have a membership, though I know regular membership is free. Plus, Cari and mom are members so I can always use them *wink wink*.

Clearly, our computer is back to normal today. Thank goodness cuz it was driving me nuts. Now, I need to talk to Jamie. We sent her a package last Monday...and haven't heard from her. We didn't tell her for the element of surprise...but now that I haven't heard anything, I am really worried about it's whereabouts. They said 2 days. This sucks ass. Plus, I put homemade oatmeal cookies in there and the ones we had were hard a few days after mailing so I am sure hers are hard too. Argh...

I need to remember That 70's Show premieres tonight...and Donna's blond. I don't like that.

It's a very yucky day, inside and out. I am home alone but that's ok cuz I don't feel well. The weather doesn't help it. I don't wanna go to Curves in the rain or when I don't feel well and the combo makes it worse. I need to go but I don't wanna!

We won, we won, we won we won we won!!!!!

Game was awesome. Weather was beautiful. I totally predicted Anwar intercepting twice. LOL. Anwar is a guy who is from Germantown. I told mom he had to intercept the ball...then he did. After that, I said he should again...and he did! We left during the last quarter cuz we were up 48-3 (Akron ended up scoring a touchdown after we left but we did win 48-10). No one sat behind us so it wasn't that uncomfortable. Zack, who is from Frederick County, played awesome, becoming the first Penn State player to ever throw a touchdown pass, catch a touchdown pass, and rush for a touchdown all in the same game. Yay! Lots of things up in State College look different. I did buy some clothes--got a long-sleeved shirt and visor on clearance for $13 each. Got pants on clearance 50% off at $15. Also got a short sleeve shirt, sunglasses and another visor. No pink though...I almost bought a pink shirt but decided to get the charcoal grey instead.

I did this with my full name and got Billy Martin (isn't that his name? in Good Charlotte...) but this is a little better. Cari gets Billy if she just uses "Cari". If she uses "Cari Greene", she gets Brad Pitt. If she uses her full real name, she gets Jeff Hardy (whom I have never heard of). I plugged Jamie in as well...with just her first name, she gets this same one as me. Her first and last names gets her David Boreanaz. Her full 3 names gets her James Marsters. Jamie's so lucky.

It's so crazy how many people come to our blogs now. But, I must wonder who "lampel.student.umd.edu" could possibly be...lol

Very upset with a bunch of the tennis players. One little group of 8 in the draw included 3 hot guys, Gonzalez, Philippoussis, and Kuerten. It was my favorite little group of 8. All 3 of them lost today. How sad. Some young US girl beat the #22 seed today. She's into the 3rd round, which is very exciting.

Since I am going to Penn State this weekend, I am planning on what I need to buy. Need is of course in quotes (use your imagination). I want a visor. I think I want a white one but navy will do. I hope there's one I like. The only visor I own is light blue, which doesn't match much. Plus, if I get a visor, I can wear it to the games to deflect some of the sun. (oh, side note, mom and I need to take sun block this weekend) I also want to get a long sleeve shirt. I don't have too many long sleeve t-shirts. I have one Penn State one that has a hole in the armpit and on the sleeve near the cuff. I have one Hood one that I love. It's stained but it's so comfortable. I've been wearing it to bed the past few nights. I can't wait to see the new merchandise. I love new stuff. Last year (I think) I got a yellow ringer tee with navy neck and sleeve cuffs. I love it, since it's not real Penn State colors. They had a lot of pink when we went in January. Maybe they'll have something pink I will actually want. Who knows...oooo, I have to make sure my jersey is clean and I need to find my Penn State shoes (that are blue and white payless shoes I bought specifically for the games).

In the stereo: Cruel Intentions

Our computer was wack yesterday (when I hear the word wack, I think of Not Another Teen Movie...love that movie!), making noises and freezing. How annoying. I really should wake up early in the next few days. There's a tv with free dvd player on sale at Target. They were out on Sunday when I went. Jodi says they get a shipment EVERY night. On Sunday, they had hardly any tv's anyway. But I really want this one! It's silver...and it's not mine! Mine is getting more and more temperamental (did I spell that right?). UPDATE: went to Target at 1:30 and they had some! So I got a new tv along with a dvd player for my room! Yay!

Can't wait for the weekend! I have felt football withdrawal. I actually watched the Va Tech/USC game last weekend. I'm not usually big on games between teams I don't care much about. Of course in this case, it would have been nice if Tech won, since USC is preseason #1. ANyway, there's a pep rally thing Friday night, getting it all started for the season. And it's free...always a good thing.

Turned on my tv last night and it was on cspan. I should have changed it before getting pissed off. They had someone calling in who was talking about how 4 years ago, "that person in office" was full of jokes. He was basically saying Clinton's term was all a joke and Bush has completely turned that around. Are you kidding me? quite the opposite, my friend. Clinton had the economy doing so well and it only took Bush 4 years to completely turn it around. If we had someone else in office, I wonder if my dad would have retired? It's the republicans fault he was pushed out the door...and that pisses me off.

Not much else to say. I know my comments have been acting up but my flooble chatbox should be on the right so you can write there!
