I broke down and decided to fight the crowds today. Heard there was a fight that broke out at Walmart in Germantown and the cops had to come. My mom and I went to the mall and separated and I was done my mom's presents in half an hour! I bought her 4 things and I didn't have to wait in long lines. Then Cari sent me back to JCPenney to buy my mom something else (she was working and it is right by JCP) so I did and I had to wait in a long ass line. Not fun. Anyway, then mom and I went to Toys R Us and Burlington Coat Factory and I totally finished Jodi and bought something for Eric. All I need is something else for my dad and stocking stuffers for my mom...I am happy! woohoo!

Bought the "MMC" album from someone at amazon.com. Got it in the mail today, as well as a book I ordered. The stupid mailman put the stuff in the mailbox, even though it didn't fit. He left the mailbox wide open and we were out at Target. While we were in Target, it began POURING (we could hear it inside the store) so by the time we got home and saw the mail, my packages were soaked. I was not happy. At least the Xmas presents I ordered through the mail already came and they didn't get wet.

I am tired...but I have to watch the new Degrassi (finally)!!!!!! I can't believe the stupid US channel is rearranging the order they are showing the episodes to us...absolutely ridiculous!

I found Nemo today! That Ellen is so funny...

OK, so, John on Survivor: you are a total asshole. Lying to everyone that your grandmother died so they would sympathize enough to have you win the challenge to spend time with your friend. You are the lowest of the low! Haven't liked ya from the beginning.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Does anyone know what that red thing that hangs over a turkey's beak is called? I was talking to the kids yesterday about it and we were wondering...

So there is an article in today's local paper (Germantown Gazette) about gay marriage. The governor recently said he will make sure it won't be legal in his tenure in the state...damn right wing asshole. I have yet to hear a valid reason why people are opposed to it. Things said in the article include:
*"The whole thing is, why should we impinge on society something that is only going to affect less than 1 percent of the population?" hello, woman, there are plenty groups in this country, for example mentally retarded people, that are that small and we have laws affecting them!
*"I think it would destroy our Judeo-Christian faith that this country was founded on...we have to as a legislature stand up to the radical homosexual agenda." ok, it's called 'Freedom of Religion' and it's in the constitution. Also, seriously, what agenda? Turn everyone in the country gay?! Please...
*about gay adoption: "I think it's morally wrong...To me it's so hard to understand why as a state we'd want to put a little baby in a home absent of a mother and a father" Duh! Should the children be shuffled from foster home to foster home? What about single straight people getting babies? What does it really matter if the baby is loved????

We have an openly gay delegate in the state and the end of the article was a quote from him: "other than for the gay couples who would benefit, there would be little difference between the day after same-sex marriage was allowed and the day before. We're still going to be stuck in traffic on the Beltway...Life will go on"

From tvguide.com: "The death of 27-year-old actor Jonathan Brandis has been officially ruled a suicide. According to a coroner's report, the SeaQuest DSV star hung himself with a nylon rope in the hallway of his Los Angeles apartment complex on Nov. 11. He was found unconscious that night and rushed to a hospital, where he died the next day."

One day until four days off...yay! I will be taking off next week Wed and Thurs...I think I need a break. Plus, next Wed night, mom, Cari, Jamie, and I are going to see Penn State women's basketball kick the crap out of Maryland at the UMCP campus. woohoo! No headache again today...it's getting better...

Someone came up with the slogan for a bumper sticker announcing Tony's album (titled "Shotgun")'s release. It will say "Ride Shotgun with Tony Lucca on *insert release date*". Quite clever...

Yay! Amy added my blog's link to her site!

I still can't get over the whole Jonathan Brandis thing. I actually still can't get over John Ritter either and that has been 2 months. Did you know they were in Stephen King's It together? Freaky...there seem to have been way too many Hollywood deaths this year.

Sunday, November 23, 2003

I know this is the third time I am writing today but I have to--I am in total shock.

Jonathan Brandis is dead.

I can't believe this. I loved him. Lost track of him these last few years but I still love him in "Ladybugs". He is also in my favorite TV movie, which also starred Tony Lucca and Kellie Martin. They think he committed suicide. I only found out now cuz I went on tvguide.com to see when they were airing Alias for us. I wonder why I hadn't heard before? He actually died on November 12th. The weirdest thing is I have a calendar of him from like 10 years ago and I looked at it today when I moved something in my room. How strange is that? I just can't get over this.

The teacher I am long-term subbing for now called today and won't be back until Wed, Dec 3rd. This means I will be getting $300 for the extra 3 days, and almost $400 for long-terming more than 10 days. YAY!!! I will be taking off Dec 3-4 cuz I will be pooped, even though I do have off Thanksgiving and the day after. I need some shopping days--I usually am done my xmas shopping already. I AM JUST SO HAPPY ABOUT THE MONEY! k, bye...

So my mom and I went to see some synchronized ice skating today. One of my mom's students from last year and her sister, who is my mom's student this year, participate in it. We went last year as well. It is the only competition they have in the area (it was in Frederick). It is so impressive. The group the girls were in had 18 girls and were by far the best there. At some points, they were skating in a straight line and spinning with connected arms. The younger sister was on the end during one of the spins and apparently she gets spun so fast, she gets let go and slides on her butt sometimes. She stayed attached today! It was so neat to watch! I had never known there was such a thing until last year when my mom brought home a tape of them. Check out the website for their team.

Saturday, November 22, 2003

yay! Kate called me today and asked if I wanted to go out. Well, Cari had already asked if I wanted to go out with them cuz Mike (Cari and Deb's friend from PSU) is in town and staying with Deb so I invited Kate and we went to Dave and Busters. It was fun! I miss having people around! Kate is moving back home after this year, so she won't be close by anymore.

Penn State lost its last game of the season. They looked terrible. Worst record for Penn State ever! 3-9 Hopefully, they will do well next year!

Oh, the basketball team is off to a good start--the women beat #12 LSU (PSU is #9) 83-46. That was a slaughter! Kelly Mazzante, who was the nations leading scorer 2 years ago and second last year, is now the leading female scorer of all time at Penn State. She probably will be able to get enough this season to become the all time Big Ten leading scorer, over women AND men in the Big Ten conference. She is awesome! Can't wait to see them play Maryland Dec 3.

Penn State's women's soccer team won today 3-0 in the 3rd round of the NCAA playoffs. They are ranked 5th in the country. The women's volleyball team is really high ranked as well...now we need the football team to do well...

Friday, November 21, 2003

So the teacher I have been subbing for should be back on Wednesday--the one day that matters in my pay. If I work that day, I will get paid the high rate retroactively, which means I could get an extra 100 for the day plus 300 for extra time total for the other days. Oh well...I don't wanna say anything cuz then I will seem greedy...I just think I have put so much into this job that I should get paid for it.

Anyway, it is the weekend...I am prepared to relax. YAY! I had something else to say but I forget...I am boycotting Amy's comments on her blog cuz she doesn't leave me any...lol...

Sarah, forgot to tell you. My sister's bday was in April and we threw her a surprise party at school. Her best friend, Debbie, is someone she has known since 7th grade and she lived with her at college. Jamie (our neighbor) and I went up to Penn State and helped Debbie out with the party. Our theme for the party was Mitchisms. We pulled the decorations and such from things on the CD I sent you (let me know when you get it). Listen to the CD and they will make more sense. We actually found a red banana in the grocery store and got one. We covered pringles cans with paper that said tennis balls. I decorated the cake with "Just press 22222222222". He has a lot on the CD having to do with the number 2 and it just so happened that my sister turned 22 so it worked even better. We put other funny quotes from the CD on paper and posted it all over the apartment. We made signs for things like the cake (long-haired guys...you'll see). It was just so exciting. That was my first theme party that was not a Memorial party. It was great! Enjoy the CD!

I LOVE THE OC! Adam Brody is so hilarious. He is gorgeous too. I love him in the blue button-down shirts he wears. Guys look hot in blue shirts. I don't know if I have seen a guy I don't like in a blue shirt. I was watching last weeks episode last night before the new one (I saw Tony last week). I was laughing so much my mom was like "The OC is that funny?" Yes, sirree Bob, it is. The stupid bitch girl who likes Seth (A.B.'s character) is yucky. Don't care for her. I like the blond though--she is good for him.

I also love One Tree Hill. It pains me that I am liking the bitch girl and asshole guy on there though. But I guess that is what the writers try to do. On the other hand, though, we are supposed to start liking Vaughn's wife on Alias but I still don't. I watch too much TV...

Guess what? I have no headache! I am probably jinxing it by saying that but this is the first day in weeks that I haven't had one...

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I didn't leave school until 6 today. We had a team meeting. The principal came in and said the team is staying too late and if they keep it up, they will get burnt out. GOOD TO HEAR I AM NOT ABNORMAL. I feel burnt out already and I have been doing this for a week. I need to take a bath...

Tuesday, November 18, 2003

So I had so much to do I didn't have time for a lunch today. I had a bag of chips while doing other things when the kids were at art. I ate a banana for breakfast. I wasn't that hungry though so maybe my body is getting used to not eating as much...today, I had about 32 ounces of water and 2 cups of hot chocolate (my latest obsession...I drink it at least 4 times a week. This past weekend I drank at least one cup at each meal)

Monday, November 17, 2003

Every Sunday, I read this contest in the Post called "The Style Invitational". They give you something to do and people send in answers. Winners, Runners-Up, and Honorable Mentions are chosen. Sometimes, they are not funny at all. This weeks was hilarious. Twelve answers were given and people had to supply Jeopardy-like questions. Here are the best:

a: Mary, Susan, and Beyonce
q: What were the most popular girls' names of the 19th century, 20th century, and Aug. 7-9, 2003?

a: Daffy Duck, but not Ariel Sharon
q: On Saturday mornings, whom is George W. Bush most concerned about?

a: It's like a peanut, only bigger
q: What is a big peanut?

a: Hamsters, poi, and that Britney-Madonna kiss
q: What's warm and fuzzy, moist and tasteless, and all of the above?

a: Because you have to have the right undergarments
q: Why do intelligence, talent, and drive alone not ensure success as a White House intern?

I feel so stressed. Being a teacher for regular ed students in tough. There is so much to do. I probably won't even get paid more because the teacher will be back before 10 days. We only get paid the higher rate if we are in the same job for 11 days or more. I got there today at 7:50 and left at 4. I get paid for 8:20-3:50, so I worked for 40 minutes that I won't get paid for. Oh well...

My back hurts!!! Amy, may I have a back massage? I miss having people around for those...

Speaking of back massages, ugh, Torrey said something about Gina when I saw Torrey a few weeks ago. She still doesn't like her but Gina agreed with her on something so she gave her that much credit...lol...I was telling someone the other day about my run-ins with liars at college...

So Marcus wrote me back. He said something like "good for you" about how I am doing and then wrote that he is graduating in December with a history degree. He then said keep in touch. What is that supposed to mean? Email him when I feel inclined? Whatever...I kinda made fun by writing back that I remember a guy in one of our classes we had together who wanted to get a history degree. Everyone hated the guy. I specifically remember when we were having debates in class, since it was an election year. He was a suppoter of Dole. We were NOT allowed to change names once we drew out of the hat but he did cuz he absolutely would not defend Clinton, eventhough we were taught to see both sides. SO the day of the debate, it was his turn to speak, and the first words out of his mouth were "As you all may know, I am gay. Dole does not support gays in the military. I agree with him". I swear he was the biggest asshole I have ever met, dating back to eighth grade. Soooo glad I haven't seen him in 6 years.

Well, I guess I will go rest my back...since my sister refuses to ever give me massages even though she is good...

"...and if you were going on a date..." --Carson
"I put on a clean pair of jeans" --straight guy
"you care so much, it hurts" --Carson
*****
"why do you look different?" --Carson
"I got my nose hair trimmed" --same straight guy

I heart Queer Eye marathons...

so Penn State won its first football game in almost 2 months *sigh* 52-7! Quite exciting...it was nice and chilly up there and we went to eat at places we haven't been so that was exciting. We went to this place called "The Green Bowl", which was make your own stir fry. You get a (white) bowl and put in veggies and noodles and sauce (whatever you want) then stick in a colored stick for the type of meat you want and stick in your tongue depressor that shows them where you are sitting and they cook it for you. It was really good but the place was NOISY! Ooooo, just got home and I better check to see if Seneca won their playoff game yesterday...

So I am writing again because I checked my email and got an email from my exboyfriend who I haven't talked to since I was a senior at Hood. We dated senior year of high school for like a month and a half. Last time I talked to him was cuz Jamie worked with him (soooo strange when I found that out) and he told her to have me email him and I said no, have him email me. So he had emailed me and in all the emails (like, 3) he called me "Ms. Greene", which pissed me off. I made a comment to him about it and he didn't stop! I remember printing out the emails and highlighting the funny parts and posting it outside my room, when we were allowed to put up papers. Do you remember those emails? Sarah P might...not that she looks at my Blog.

Anyway, so this time he asked how I have been and said we haven't talked in years. So I wrote back a polite email saying what I have been up to and also told him a little about Cari being home (he was actually friends with Cari before I knew him, even though he was in my grade). It was a total of about 6 sentences. We'll see what he has to say back. Hopefully it won't be that overly polite shit I hate from people my age. I am all about politeness but come on...seriously....

So I saw Tony last night. Ah, amazing, as always. I swear (even though I shouldn't) he gets hotter every day. He got a tattoo this week on his forearm. I don't like tattoos, but whatever. He called it an "albino black bird" or something contradictory. It was funny. He was supposed to go second but went third. He didn't get there until the second guy was already performing so we don't know what went on.

There were 4 people performing last night. The first guy was real jazzy and he was good. He danced all silly but whatever. I just think he was better suited for a larger place and not a small coffee shop. He had a drummer (who was hot), two guitarists (one was hot), a keyboardist, a trumpetist (is that a word?), and a...shoot, what the freak was that instrument called? argh...oh well, so as you can see, he had a lot of music. I had a migraine (but for Tony, I would not miss out) and we sat up front so it was terrible on my head. He had a CD coming out in March, I believe, with Virgin Records.

The next guy, Dean Fields, was really good. I listened to him on his website and didn't like him. He changed my impression in person. He was hilarious in his comments during his performance. He made funny faces when he sang so I was laughing inside. HAHAHAHA One time (at band camp...no really) he was starting the beginning of this sad song and this lady busted out laughing at what someone else said to her and Dean said "it's not funny". I can't remember all the funny shit he said but it was great. Cari bought his CD so I will burn myself a copy!

Tony got to sing a Christmas song he was talking about that he only brings out this time of year. He was hilarious too, as always. I waited afterwards for a bit to see if I could get a pic with him but he didn't come out front and I felt awful so we left.

The last group, or singer (I am still unsure. I know that there were many people but I am not sure if it was a group or a guy with a band) was Taylor Roberts. I listened to them on their website and liked what I heard but we left cuz I felt so bad. My sister went to ask someone why Tony wasn't second and the person she talked to was one of the guys performing last. He tried to talk her into staying to watch them and told her to call me a taxi and stay. She said we'll see and he told her that was a cop out. LOL I wanted to buy their CD but no one was there for them before they performed to purchase it from (all of the performers are not on record labels so their stuff had to be sold by someone that works for them).

Well worth the $10 I think! Turned me on to some new people! How exciting...now, I have to get rid of this darn migraine...

Tuesday, November 11, 2003

you know what I am also sick of? When I get in an argument with someone and the next time they talk to me, they act as if nothing happened. Sometimes, an apology is nice.

Anyway, today I went out to eat with Jodi, Amanda, and Amanda's husband. I try to limit my time with Amanda, since, ya know, I can't stand her. She thinks she's all that and I hate people like that. She lives in Vegas now so it's not hard but Jodi always asks me to come along and I feel guilted into it. I told Jodi no over the weekend so I decided to say yes today. Anyway, so I was driving to Jodi's house and I had to make a right turn. I had a green light so I have the right of way! This car coming towards me was making a left turn and tried to cut me off. I honked my horn at them (2 people in the car). One lane, they are behind me, and they flashed their lights at me! I started freakin' out and when I got to a red light, I can make a right and go in the back way to Jodi's. So I turned right and they followed and then I had to make a left. I was able to go and they got stuck because there were cars coming. As soon as you cross the street, there is a circle you have to go around (don't ask me why cuz there is just the one straight street but there is a circle there). So, I went around the circle and kept checking my rearview mirror and saw the SUV turn in and go around the circle and back out how they came in. How obvious was that that they were following me???? I was scared shitless, and I called Jodi and asked her to meet me outside in case they followed me all the way there but since they didn't, she didn't have to come out. I was pissed off though, because I had the right of way! I just had to bitch about it...thanks for listening!

I am so sick of people cancelling at the last minute for things...granted this time wasn't the last minute for the event but as I say I am going to call to purchase the tickets is a little late...it'd be nice if people let me know earlier...

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH

You are NEMO!
What Finding Nemo Character are You?

brought to you by Quizilla

Amy was Nemo too and Sarah was Bruce...who are you? Maybe the quiz was psychic and made me Nemo just cuz the orange would match my site...

I can't wait for Wednesday...oo, I better call and pay for tickets...

Sunday, November 09, 2003

So for some reason today I was thinking of the fun Heather times there were in college. I can't remember if any of what I was remembering happened at the same time but what I remember was:
--one specific time Heather was drunk...and she was avoiding Sarah and came to Amy and my room
--the time she spilled water all over Heidi's shoes in the hallway...that was hilarious!
--the time she and Sarah turned off the electricity to Heidi's room and Heidi thought someone had come in her room and unplugged then plugged back in everything...HAHAHAHAHA
--the day Heather, Sarah, and I came up with Rho Alpha Pi...I was just telling Jamie about RAP the other day and I can't remember everyone's names...maybe I should check my website...
--the Pilonic Society (is it pilon or pylon?)
ah, good times, good times...that also makes me think of drunk stories. Man-oh-man...so many of those. I think what triggered this train of thought was I bought this book to document college years that was made by the same company that I had a 1999-2000 school year college calendar. I love looking back at that calendar cuz I was able to document things as they happened and I can remember them when I look back. They stopped making that calendar and I was so upset cuz I wished I would have had one each year of college. Now, I can put things in this book...I have a box of stuff from college that I can use. Maybe I will go do that now...or not...whatever...

Isn't it funny how you can talk to someone online in a way you wouldn't in person? Tonight, I talked to my old neighbor who is 17 and I haven't had contact with her except for online since before I went to college. We talk like we're good friends but I can't even picture how the conversations would go if we were face to face. Not like I wouldn't talk to her face to face, I just haven't. It's funny too, since Jamie talks to her of course more than I do. Jamie is obviously closer to her age and drove her to high school when Jamie was a senior. So I get info about her through Jamie but talk to her some too. Anyway, I just thought I would say that...I have written a lot in the last 8 hours...hmmm...

"You look different. Did you lose weight? Did you shave off your ear hair?" --Carson
"This is just a simple, every day entrance into a club" *slides across floor on knees* --Jai
"If this doesn't work out, chicks love a guy with an eye patch" --Carson

I LOVE QUEER EYE! I am watching an episode right now that I have already seen about 4 times and yet I laugh at everything. It is so freakin' hilarious. It also excites me that I got to see Jai as "Angel" in Rent. He's probably my favorite on the show. I didn't like Carson before but I think he is growing on me cuz he says the funniest shit.

PS, I like to have 3 posts in one day...

surf dudes with attitudes
kinda groo-vay
laidback moods
skies above sand below
good vibrations
feeling mellow
won't give it up
don't wanna stop
won't wake me up
don't wake me up if I'm dreamin'
California Dreams just let me lay here in the sun until my dream is done...

who knew I knew all the words to that song? It's a damn shame...

AAAAHHHHHHHHH...this kid drove me crazy today and I had flashbacks to being in elementary school. He called another kid "fat cheeseburger". Not that I was every called a cheeseburger but anyway...kids are so mean. And now I want a cheeseburger.

I AM SO SICK OF THIS HEADACHE!

So I haven't talked to my sister in about 72 hours. When I am home, she is at work and when she is home,I am at work. Except when we are sleeping. And now, she is away for tonight. But, this hasn't been a problem because I HAVE been avoiding her. She made me angry Tuesday by cancelling going to UMD at the last minute when she could have called me from work so I could leave early and wouldn't have had to get stuck in traffic. And I was going to go without her originally but she wanted to go so I changed my plans. I probably won't get an apology. My mom says Cari was ready to apologize Tuesday but I stormed out of there. I said an apology on Tuesday wouldn't have been enough. But, maybe now...anyway, I drove to UMD crying, with a headache (surprise!) but still listening to loud music cuz I was so pissed. And the traffic was enough to drive me nuts...I nearly hit 3 people who cut me off.

Jamie's brother, Josh, who is my age, has bought a place. I am sad. I was hoping I would move out of my house before him. Not that it matters, since we don't even talk but I just wanted to! Jamie is home for the weekend *jump for joy* so I am excited to see her. I need to relax this weekend. I have a job Monday morning (half day) and am off Tuesday. I start a long-term job Wednesday for a second grade teacher getting surgery. Will be about 2-3 weeks. This is my first long-term job for a regular ed class. I am kinda nervous. I like special ed cuz you have another adult with you! Plus, lots fewer kids. And, I love the special ed kids at the school. Except this one girl. She put a row of staples in her mouth one day. She straddled a boy on the playground and stuffed his mouth with woodchips. She played with her poo in the toilet last year. I feel so bad for her--she has a terrible home life. But she gets sent home and suspended so much because she can't behave. Sad...

OK, I need to eat something cuz I am STARVED. Degrassi isn't on all of November...this country sucks (its on in Canada). I am moving to Canada...well, maybe one day. For now I will have to settle for visiting Toronto for spring break...

I had this crazy dream last night. In it was Heather, Sarah P, Erin P and Toscha from college (random), 2 girls and a guy from high school I NEVER hung out with, and two girls from elementary school whom I haven't even seen since sixth grade. All I remember about the dream is that Seneca (my high school) lost its football game and we were walking by the school. Then somehow we got to some club where Toscha was drunk and Erin was the only one dancing. Why the heck were these people in my dream???? I mean, Heather and Sarah I can understand because I have actually had contact with them in the last week but the others? I have no idea!

Anyhoo, Jamie and I put Tony all over the place on the UMD campus...and then it rained! The wind was so bad yesterday I had trouble driving home from work (my hands were red when I got home). Jamie did say Tony seems to still be up a lot of places, even though we only used masking tape.

Cari being home has gotten me to start to do the Washington Post crossword (we trade days). I have completed the crossword by myself 2 days in the last week! I haven't completed one by myself ever! Well, until now. I am so excited! It makes me feel smart.

oh check out this website--it is hilarious!

I've got comments...and I have no comment about that...re he he...

Tuesday, November 04, 2003

So I went to Hood today to Tonyfy the place. I made copies of Tony's flyer (is it spelled with a y or an i?) for Jammin' Java at Kinkos...which is my favorite copy center if I had to choose one (thank you, Mitch Hedburg). They turned out really nice! and only 7.5 cents per copy...I will be heading to UMD later and Cari, Jamie, and I will Tonyfy that place as well!

Anyway, back to the whole Hood experience. It sucks now. Not that it wasn't bad before but this year, they like changed the whole dorm. They painted all the room doors brown to make it more apartment-like. I say it's more ugly-like. They took down all the bookshelves in the rooms. They also had the AUDACITY (I like the fact that I don't know how to spell this word but I still put it in caps) to paint over the animals on second floor's walls, that have been there forever!!! Aparently, there was an animal people thought looked like Yoda, which I don't remember even though I lived there a semester. People have now posted a sign "Rest In Peace Yoda". How sad! Then I went to the bookstore cuz I wanted a new alumni shirt (which they didn't have...the store was mysteriously bare). These girls were near the checkout talking and one girl said she liked my shirt (On the front it says "Got 106,000?" and the back is all about Penn State's football stadium). Then another girl was talking to them about leaving and kept looking at me and had this smirk on her face. I wanted to be like "you dumb bitch what the heck you looking at? I am older than you and this school sucks now that I left, which means you suck"...but, alas, I did not...seriously, could you have heard me say that to some girl I don't know? Parsons is not here to protect me so I have to watch my step *wink*.

So I talked to Amy T and Sarah M online the other day . I was so excited to hear from them. They have blogs as well so click on the links and check them out.

Sarah, I don't know if I can get comments now. If I change my format or whatever to do that, will it ruin all my previous blogs? Let me know!

Please sign my guestbook now until I have comments (if I get them). The link is to the right...thanks! OK, I have to go take some advil cuz I have a massive headache and I have to work the rest of the week...til next time...

Monday, November 03, 2003

My birthday was Friday and this weekend sucked. First of all, I was sick Friday so we did not go out to Bushwallers like we were going to. I couldn't even have a drink that day cuz my head hurt so bad. Then my brother calls and talks to Cari then asks to talk to me. He wishes me a happy birthday and says a little bit else then asks my dad if he wanted to talk to me. My dad said "No, just tell her happy birthday" so Eric did. AAAAAHHHHH! Why can't my dad get off his lazy butt and tell me happy birthday himself? Last year I went to New York with him for my birthday (we were there Oct 30-Nov1) so I was with him ALL day and he didn't say happy birthday to me until like 5 pm. He just doesn't get it. I am so NOT going into those stories now.

So, then my high schools football team, which was ranked second in the area, proceeded to LOSE Friday night (final score was 37-34--they missed a few PATs but both teams had the same number of TDs). They will still win the state champs--Jamie and I have this theory. When I was in high school, they won the champs my freshman, sophomore, and junior years and lost my senior year. Then Jamie goes (she is 4 years younger than me) and they do the same thing (win 3 years then lose one). So Jamie is a junior in college now and Seneca was state champs last year and the year before, so they have to win this year and lose next year! HEEHEE

Then, Penn State had a rather expected loss in football Saturday. They were playing Ohio State, who is ranked like 7th or something. But we HAD them til the last few minutes. We used our kick off kicker for our field goals and extra points, cuz our regular guy has been sucking, and he had a chance to win it for us with 2 seconds left in the game. I can't blame him for missing--it was a 60 yard attempt--but can you imagine how exciting it would have been for him and EVERYONE if he had made it??? Final score: 21-20.

Lastly, the Skins played today. The Cowboys turned the ball over on their first 3 possessions to us and yet all we scored from that was a measly (sp?) 6 points (they blocked the PAT). We ended up losing 21-14 (I think? lol).

Also, in tennis news, Andy Roddick became number one this week, but since the weekend was so bad, of course he lost as well! But check this out--every time he has played Henman, whoever wins, ends up winning the tournament (Henman won at Legg Mason in DC, Roddick won at the US Open and Henman won this week). Weird! PS, he is hosting SNL this coming weekend--I AM SOOOO EXCITED!

OK, I think I have said enough about sports. Guess I should go to bed...til next time...
