I just remembered I have some Chap Stick Moisturizing Nose Soother. Mom got it at Giant last year sometime and it was on clearance...I love the stuff and think it's the best thing when blowing your nose so much it's irritated. Guess what? It's not made anymore. I am super pissed. My tube of it is pretty full but I know eventually I will run out and I would want more and this sucks.
I knew there had to be a reason I liked frogs.
Airborne doesn't seem to be helping me. I need to get healthy. My cold last month wasn't as bad cuz I didn't have any nose troubles. I can't seem to get my nose clear this time. And it's driving me crazy (that's not a drive, that's a short putt...har har har).
I wish I didn't have to work today...but neither boss is there today so I have to go. At least I don't work again til Monday. Monday, which will be a CRAZY day, since it's the first day we are open in the new year. And you know people and their New Years resolutions. Aaaaaaahhhhhhh

Happy Eric Birthday

Christmas was such an exciting day, though very tiring. Sooo much stuff: 90's Trivial Pursuit, Rachael Ray's new book, snowflake pjs, books, dvds (Abandon, Raising Helen, Alice In Wonderland, Old School, and Brigadoon--quite an ecclectic mix), a leather coat from dad (which doesn't fit but we'll see...), a painting of sunflowers (also from dad). I'm pretty darn happy. I hope everyone else had as nice of a Christmas as me. The only thing that was missing was...SNOW. Dag nabbit.
Cari also informed me on Christmas Eve that she has been busting her butt to make my quilt! I bought the yarn back in the summer or before and she made a few squares but then got so busy with her job, she didn't work on it...or so I thought. She still didn't finish it by Christmas but that's totally fine. The thought is what counts. She has been sneaking in my room to get the yarn she needs and trying to hide the fact that there is yarn missing. My room's a mess anyway and I didn't pay attention to where the yarn was (under a chair near the door--though practically all sides were covered). It's a good thing there was no clothes that fell off that chair for me to look for under it...come to think of it, I did notice some yarn sticking out last week but I didn't think too much about it and just tucked it back under my chair. She's so sneaky.
I also can now mention on here about that day I saw Megan and Amy. Megan and I went to the British store. I was buying Cari a Flake, which is a candy bar from England which she loves. I only bought one. The worker asked if I tried other kinds and I said it was for my sister. He told me about this thing they had for the holidays (a box of mini pieces of Flake), which he followed by (after looking for it) saying he stuck his foot in his mouth cuz they were out. So I followed him to where the Flakes were and he found 2 in a box by themselves, went back to the counter, put them in a bag and handed them to me, saying "Merry Christmas to your sister". I wanted so badly to be able to write that on here when it happened...but clearly Cari would have read it. That British man was so nice. Makes me want to shop there more...even though they are quite expensive.
I am debating about going shopping today. I have to exchange my jacket. I also have an LB gift card I can use and they are having a sale starting today. Plus, my mom gave me comfy socks and I want more from Kohl's. And we want to get new stockings for next year cuz ours are looking shabby...and they will be cheap now.
My dilemma? I am now sick! Dag nabbit, I have been doing so well about not being sick much and I was just sick a little over a month ago. All of a sudden yesterday at dad's, my nose was totally stuffy. I couldn't breathe through it at all. I woke up today with a bad cold. Since I took medicine, I feel a little better, hence why I may go shopping. But I should go while I feel just OK. My head feels like there's a balloon inside being blown up. And I feel totally dizzy and I know I wouldn't be able to drive myself cuz I almost feel drunk. Mom is planning on going with me...I need to shower first. Let's see how I feel after a shower...

Merry Christmas, everyone!

The weather has been insane this week. Monday, we woke up and it was 12 degrees. It got up to probably 20. Wednesday, it was 60! Yesterday, it was really rainy and by 6 pm, it was down to 35! It's supposed to be high 38 today (it's currently 25). This up-down-up-down is going to make everyone sick.
Yesterday, I subbed for kindergarten. Oh, they were cute. We went caroling with the rest of the grade. We also went with one other class to drop off some cards to 4th grade reading buddies. We stuck around there a bit and the 4th graders showed the kindergartners around their classroom (which is in Neverland...aka, a portable). It was absolutely adorable seeing the interaction between them. A lot were holding hands. Some 4th graders looked a little uncomfortable but I think it was good for them to get that littler kid interaction. Love it! I told the other kindergarten teacher how I remember having reading buddies when I was in school. We had them in 5th and 6th grades, with 2nd and 3rd graders, respectively. I only remember one of my buddies and I didn't like her. She grew up to be a total snob.
The kids also got to drink hot chocolate and watch a movie in the afternoon. So, needless to say, it was a non-stressful day.
And now it's break! I can't believe it's Christmas Eve. It came too soon. I hate when we have school all the way til the day before Christmas Eve. We don't get nearly enough of a break. 6 school days off? not enough! Can't wait to see how the 2/3 kids are the week after break. There's one in there whose mother doesn't make him sleep enough and he always comes to school extremely tired. This past week, he got off the bus and kept falling down. It took 2 of us to bring him in the school. And I am sure it will be like that when we get back from break.
I looked at my statcounter and saw someone had been to one of my old posts. I was figuring out which one and came across my post about seeing the trailer for The Notebook. It is taking way too damn long to come out on dvd. I watched the trailer again now and, even though I saw the movie, I still cried at the trailer again! Love the movie!
Pray for snow tomorrow! I half wish it would snow so much we can't go anywhere, though that's really mean (we are supposed to go to dad's house for a few hours...but I don't like leaving on Christmas). Someone at Curves told me we get snow on Christmas only 7% of the time! That's insane! No where near often enough. Tonight, I'm gonna do a snow dance and wear my pjs inside out. You should too!

I AM 24% ASSHOLE/BITCH! I am not an asshole or a bitch,
more like an asshole and bitch target. I have no backbone, and fold at even a slightly insincere look. I need to stop crying, I am such a wuss. |

WE ARE...PENN STATE!!!!!!!
The top football recruit in the country has made his decision for college...and it's Penn State! We totally needed that! He's a wide receiver, making it even better (he's from Maryland). We also got another guy he talked from DC. And we got the top defensive back in the country, from Pa. Oh, next year could be a VERY exciting year in football! I can't wait!
I am working tomorrow. Someone asked me today. But, she hasn't called it in yet. So, I have already gotten 3 phone calls for other sub jobs for tomorrow. I don't know what to do. I don't have her phone number to call her and inquire about it. And I can't put in to not be called because she needs to call it in and that can't happen if I put in to not be called for tomorrow. But I don't want anymore phone calls!

i'm a friend hog
In the stereo: a mix
Cari and I were reminiscing tonight about our elementary school days. The title was something I said about mine. In third grade, I was friends with a girl who was new. The next year, she became friends with the "popular" girls and told me I wouldn't let her be friends with anyone else the year before. Riiiiight...cuz I can tell you who to be friends with.
So, I love my sister. She's the best ever. Wanna know why? And this is the only reason (*wink*). I had to warm up my car this morning cuz it gets wacky in cold weather. I moved it in the driveway and left it running while I went back inside to finish getting ready. I went out to my car about 10 minutes later. I pushed the button on my clicker...and it wouldn't unlock! My clicker won't work when keys are in the ignition! So, I woke up Cari and told her what was going on. She told me to call AAA and she would hop in the shower. She got out and I was still on hold with AAA, along with trying to call school on my cell to tell them what was going on. So, Cari told AAA everything and they said it would be 2 hours! So, I waited at home in case they came and Cari, the SWEETHEART that she is, drove down to mom's school and got mom's keys to my car. See, I have 3 different keys--one for ignition, one for trunk, and one for the doors (my mom has all 3 keys, whereas, I keep only ignition on my ring, with spares of all 3 in my purse). The only door key I have was in my car. I used my spares in the car cuz I wanted my clicker (which is on my usual set of keys). So, Cari made it back home before AAA so I canceled them and I got to school about an hour after I was supposed to. Luckily, I was in special ed so there was another teacher and it wasn't much after school started anyway (maybe 10 minutes). So, needless to say, my day got off to a great start.
Watched a bit of Wet Hot American Summer this morning, while waiting for keys. Funny stuff. I want to see the whole movie.
Andre keeps asking me what my name is, since he forgot it last year. I don't want to tell him cuz I know he will call me by it and students shouldn't call adults in school by their first names. Well, Madison told him today (which I had told her many times before not to) and he proceeded to say it at least 40-50 times in the next 15-20 minutes before his bus came. How frustrating. This is why I didn't want to tell him anyway. Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I sub in the 2/3 class again tomorrow (that's where I was today) and on Wednesday, I am staff development so I don't know where I will be. Hopefully, it won't be too bad. The kids are all wound up already so I can't wait to see how Wednesday will be.
My back is killing me so I better go lay down. I decided last night to start reading a book, which I haven't done in a while. I had started that one with short stories in it but the ones near the back are longer...and it's too much to read going to bed in one sitting. I like chapters cuz then I can stop after one. I can't stop in the middle of one "short" story.

It is finally snowing! It's not much but it's enough to make me be happy! NOW, I can pull for a big storm! It's supposed to be quite chilly tomorrow!
How do people actually think they can get away with the crimes they commit?
My cat is the cutest thing ever. She has taken to lying under the dining room table, which is right by the computer. She was just curled up with her paws over her nose. Soooo cute...I took a picture, which, of course, woke her up. But, she's so adorable.
We saw Ocean's Twelve today. Good movie. I kept looking at Brad Pitt and just realizing he isn't as hot as I used to think. He has a nice body and I love the way he carries himself...and just how he like poses or whatever. But his face? Not hot. Such a shame. Matt Damon was quite the cutie, though. And George Clooney was handsome, as well. George has some good genes, though. His aunt was beautiful. (PS, on a side note, I think it's hilarious her real life sister's name was Betty!)

"well, alright, ok, so be that way. I hope and pray that there's something left to say"

I have to go to bed but I made a playlist on this here computer and it's so much of my favorite music I can't stop listening. I have been playing a marble game while listening. Oh how I wish I had an ipod so I could just listen to random shit all the time, that's longer than one cd.
My playlist includes songs from: Bon Jovi, Bush, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Worry Stones, Tony Lucca, Matt Morris, Dean Fields, Britney, Kelly Clarkson, No Doubt, Josh Kelley, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, JC, *N SYNC, O-Town, Aerosmith, Avril, Blink 182, Lifehouse, Justin, Soul Asylum, Silverchair, Ace of Base, Alex Band and Santana, Clay Aiken, Switchfoot, Usher, Phantom Planet, Puddle of Mudd, Presidents of the United States of America, All-American Rejects, Blues Traveler, Joe Firstman, Nirvana, Offspring, Dog's Eye View, Toadies, Adam Richman, Gavin Degraw, even Hanson. Wow, good listening...I can't make it stop! Can I listen all the time? Even while sleeping and know it?

"Jesus and Moses...they both have beards"
Oh, how I heart The OC. Seth made up a Chrismukkah song and he sings this part at the end of the episode. That was a really good episode...and the previews for the new year (12 weeks in a row of new ones!) are lookin' good!
Well, I guess I won't be watching Life As We Know It anymore. They are moving it to 8pm. Hello, they are trying to let it die! I know Survivor isn't on right now but still...The OC? Will and Grace? There is no way people would watch this instead! I am sure many teenagers had been watching The OC, then turning to Life As We Know It. Stupid ABC.
Oh no. Ashley Simpson is going to be in DC when we are in New Orleans. At least I can say I wasn't anywhere near her. Ever.
So I went and had breakfast with Amy (and Kirsten) today. Mmmmmm Cracker Barrel. I was so full. I ate more than I have eaten at one sitting in a while. And it wasn't like a massive amount.
Then I went to see Megan (ps, by the way, I left my cell at home). Megan was not home so I left a note, which I slipped in the "letters" slot on her door. I went to Boscovs and got a bunch of stuff, along with 3 free gifts (cuz I spent over $50...not much over though!). Then I figured it had been an hour since I went to Megan's house and she had something in an hour so maybe I will catch her at home now. So I went and she was there. She had not seen my note. Her thing at 1:30 was cancelled so we had plenty of time. We went and saw Laura. Then we went to Pizza and Pretzel Creations (or is it Pretzel and Pizza Creations? the first sounds more correct) cuz she was hungry. I did get a pretzel, even though I was still full from breakfast. It was yummy and I stuffed my face even though I was full. I couldn't let it go to waste. I hadn't been there in years.
Then I said we had to go to the British store! I heart the British store. I don't even know what it is called. We just always say "the British store". We walked in and 2 guys were talking in their nice British accents. I found what I wanted to buy after cruising around the store and I went to the register (while Megan was on the phone) and the one guy said bye to the worker guy and left. The worker said "women problems", referring to what they were discussing. Then he said "this all for you, love?" Love that the British say "love". He called us both love again when Megan was buying something. He was really nice. Megan had told some guy they (her, Laura, others) are friends with (who works there) to order something and it was there but unopened so he opened it for her so she could buy one (long sentence). Oh, how I could just stay in there all day listening to the workers' accents.
I then came home and here I am. Still full...I don't know when I will be able to eat again! I forgot to watch Gilmore yesterday and I just tried calling Cari's work to ask if she has it in her VCR before it gets taped over at 5. But she's busy. Hopefully she will call me back before 4:15 so I can watch it before the new one today.

SO I signed up for a live journal account so I could comment in other people's livejournals. And today I broke down and posted on and designed my own page. I love it so much (oh how the colors are beautiful) but I love my blog and how easy people can comment on it. I wish blogger had some things like live journal does...like the mood icons I have. They are absolutely the funnest stuff ever...and yes, I said funnest.
Anyway, I finally got in contact with Amy. She texted me when I was at the mall with Jodi. So we sent about 8 texts each back and forth. I like texting. It's fun. So, anyway, I am having breakfast with her tomorrow before she leaves. Yay! Then when we had decided that (by now, I had arrived home), I saw Megan was online so I figured it was fate and I asked what she was doing tomorrow. She is free after I have breakfast so since I am in Frederick, I might go see her too. I was thinking about everyone I could visit while up there. I actually debated about calling Stacey tomorrow. Then, I saw I got an xmas card in the mail today. I am sorry, but they basically took the lazy man's way of sending cards. Nothing was hand written. The addresses on the envelope (hers and mine) were printed on labels. It was one of those cards with a picture. It was just a picture of the baby. Preprinted on the side said something like "Merry Christmas from the newest McDougall". So, it shows me I am being wished Merry Christmas from the baby, whom I've never met, and not from Stacey and Steve! I still can't get over that NOTHING was handwritten! And I did notice that Sarah's thoughts were correct--they call him "CJ". When I told Sarah what his name was (Charles James), her first thought was "you know they call him CJ", which I hadn't even thought of. But sure enough, his bottom in the picture said "CJ's First Christmas". That's so very Stacey&Steve to have a kid named CJ. I hate that, by the way. Initials for names. I think it's lame. Sorry to any initial-named people out there (who reads this anyway?) but whatever.

DAG NABBIT. I freakin can't listen to Tony. My real player is messed up big time. I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still is giving me the same error. I did all it said to fix it and it still won't work. Dammit. I really want some freakin live music.
In the stereo: Tony
There is a media player on Tony's website now! I am so excited! You can just launch it at the top of the page. It has 4 of my favorite songs that aren't on CDs, "Around The Bend", "White Morning", "Two Trains", and "Death Of Me" (my absolute favorite). You can even change what skins the media player has! That's so cool! Oh, how I heart Tony. And I have to remember that his concert tonight is streamed live on the web here tonight so I can listen...hopefully!
I was in 2 classes today. They split up one kindergarten this morning so I was with another sub and about 20 kids! It's kinda hard being with another sub cuz I never know if she wants to take charge or wants me to or what. The one today was very nice but I think some things she said were over the kids heads. The afternoon I was in the 2/3 class so I was excited. Sometimes I am in moods where I just look at the kids and I just am amazed at how adorable the kids in that class are. And it of course helps that none of them are huge pains in the butt, which ruins your perspective of cuteness...although the one pain in the butt in the K/1 class is absolutely adorable and no matter how much she's annoying, I still love her. Others don't think that way, they feel her personality ruins it. I did find out last week she's in a foster home. Poor thing. Sad story. So many sad stories like that at that school. Things like that make my heart break for these kids and I love them so much.
Mom took off work tomorrow to get her shopping done. I told her she needed to. I have off tomorrow too. I have a goodbye Julie lunch at Curves tomorrow. Julie's pregnant and leaving us! I'm so sad cuz she is super nice. Mom is going to lunch with Cari tomorrow...maybe I can talk her into going to Build-A-Bear tomorrow to use her gift certificate.
Oh, Gilmore Girls is on...I better go watch (keep your fingers crossed for Adam Brody sightings).
I don't get it. I am really pissed about my Alias countdown. I tried taking it away and putting it back but it's still wrong. And I have it on my webpage too and it's wrong there too. Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
So I had a busy morning. I woke up (!), cleaned my fishes' tank, made my gingerbread house, emptied the dishwasher, took a shower and blowdried my hair and was off to work. I didn't have any time to just sit. And my hands were killing me from piping the icing for my house. But it is absolutely adorable. I should ask Jamie if when she is home if I can take a picture with her camera and put it on here for all to see. Yay!
Everyone at Curves keeps telling me how talented I am at making snowflakes. I'm getting a big head. But really, it doesn't seem that hard. Once you know how to fold it to get it to come out 6 sided, it's pretty straight-forward. Plus, if you use your eye and get an idea, you can mimic it. It's not that hard. Maybe I just am more visual than other people out there but who knows. I should take pictures of them too so I can post those on here. I made some real pretty ones today, based on the snowflakes we bought last year and are hung in the doorway between the living room and dining room.
I want to watch today's Gilmore Girls...and I was about to say Cari is sleeping (she has the tape) but she literally just got up! Nappy Girl!
I need to sleep tonight. I have to work tomorrow. It may be like last week's and I will be all over the school...but who knows. 'Night!

I hate Survivor. I may not watch the next one. That would free me up to watch other things live on Thursday so it would be a good thing. The people left were all awful. I didn't want anyone to win. It pains me when people who are rude, lying, backstabbing asses are the ones that make it far. It didn't used to be that way. Some nice people won. Hello, I LOVED Colby, Tina, Elisabeth, Ethan, and Rupert. Of course, the last one didn't do as well as the others but they all were pretty honest and did well in the game. Ahhhhhhhh...
So my massage Saturday was good. I am aching today. They say if you get places massaged that aren't normally used they are sore. It's my upper neck that especially hurts. I have a bad headache today too. I am about to go to bed. I don't have a sub job tomorrow so I will be able to sleep. Good night all.

Happy Amy Birthday!
In the stereo: Xmas mix
So I finally can sleep in and what do I do? wake up multiple times starting at 5:15...until finally getting out of bed at 7:25. I am still tired. I don't know why I awoke so early, cuz I didn't take a nap yesterday and I went to bed at nearly midnight. Ahhhhhhhh
So my cookies, I think, don't taste very well. They look cute though. I couldn't get the candy part to taste good. We'll see what others think. I thought about making other cookies too but I think there will be plenty of desserts so I won't. I made the mix for my cheese wreath. It's chilling in the fridge until later when I form it into a wreath. Yay.
It is a very yucky day out today. It was foggy out back until just a few minutes ago. I am getting sick of the rain, like I did in the summer. It's such a mood downer...plus it's making me want to go sleep more, even though I don't know if I'd be able to. We'll see if I sleep again before I have the party at 1.

In the stereo: Gilmore Girls
Lorelai: So I think I'm in touch with the other side
Rory: the other side...?
Lorelai: The Other Side
Rory: with Republicans?
************
Zach: Dude, Brian's breathing is louder than the song.
Brian: I've got a deviated septum. All the women in my family and me have it.
I love watching old Gilmore Girls that I never watched (since I only started this season). I especially like that the Adam Brody episodes are now airing. He's such a cutie...he's much hotter now, a few years older and with slightly longer hair...but he's still Adam Brody. *purr*
I am making my cookies for the Curves party tomorrow. They were driving me crazy, sticking when being rolled. I almost got so upset I cried. It was that bad. They are ok now, but slightly crispy, which I didn't want. I now have to make the center stuff (candy) and see how that works. Tomorrow, I will make the cheese wreath. Yay.
My back is absolutely killing me. I am so tired it's crazy. We watched a video this afternoon and I think I was gone for a few seconds. The high school intern had her head down too so she may have slept. It started pouring this afternoon. I had to walk through the sopping wet grass (and mud) to get to my car. I left my umbrella in the car, not remembering it was supposed to rain and that was why I BROUGHT the umbrella.
I think I may have to tape many shows tonight because I may not make it through them. Unless I nap now. We'll see...

In the stereo: Snoop
or, at least he was before WE LOST POWER. I was mid-typing an entry when all the power went out. Even the elementary school power went out, which is really odd cuz they always have lights on when our power is out. Clearly, it has come back on but we had just gotten dinner and had to eat it all romantic-like, in candlelight.
Anyway, as I was saying, I like Snoop's new song, "Drop It Like It's Hot" (it's the beat I enjoy...I'm not all about the lyrics). However, here's my problem. I know many songs share the same title, usually because it's one or two words that are common (for example, "Breathe" or "Crazy" or "Unskinny Bop"). But, come on. "Drop It Like It's Hot" was a song by Big Tymers just a few years ago. It's dumb to name a song that same, 5-word title.
Had a good day today. Pants-pooper was absent. 2 kids were bad (worse than I have seen them in a while) but I still left there pretty happy and with no headache. I like working with Kathy. We get along and laugh a lot. Can't wait for the 2/3 class tomorrow...they're the best. We'll see if I make my cookies tonight so I can bring some to them tomorrow.
About the cookies, they have a candy center that is supposed to have glucose in it. I can't find glucose. Where would you buy glucose? I may substitute sugar but I don't know how much so we'll see...
I am about to keel over today, I am so tired.I didn't want to get up this morning worse than yesterday. I wonder if That 70's Show is new tonight. Hmmmmmm... OK, I am going to go check on my show and probably read my magazine I got in the mail...lata

In the stereo: *N SYNC
So, quick notes before bed (since I may not get on here tomorrow--sub, Curves work, my shows...unless repeats?) Penn State lost. It was very upsetting. Georgetown got to a 17-0 lead at first, which was AWFUL (clearly). We were down 10 at the half. Got within 3 with 7 minutes left and ended up losing by 13. So sad. There was a good number of Penn State fans there. On the other hand, the Georgetown fans were the WORST I have seen in a LONG time. They were booing our guys, including one guy near where we came in practically booing in their faces. Then, midway through the game, a group started chanting "Penn State sucks". Wow...some people are poor sports, even though they were winning.
Anyway, I now have a sub job Wednesday but it's for the K/1 class so it's all good. On a side note, a kindergartner at school died this weekend. It's not clear exactly what of as of now but it's said to have possibly been from complications of Sickle Cell Anemia. How sad. We were supposed to read a statement to our class today. Kate had to read it cuz I couldn't. I cried just listening to her read it (and when I read the paper before) so I can imagine how I wouldn't have been able to make it through if I had tried to read it. I didn't even know the girl. But just...wow...so sad.
OK, it's off to bed for me...I am so tired. Lata...

So this weekend in sports had it's ups and downs:
I am subbing 3 days this week again, 2 in the 2/3 class, which I love. They got a girl in the class so we'll see how things are different. The boys are so great. Tomorrow night, mom and I are going to see Penn State men play bball against Georgetown...let's hope for a win! And later this week, I have my Curves holiday party and seated back massage...yay, what a week!
Tennis: The Davis Cup was this weekend. Friday, Andy and Mardy both lost, to Nadal and Moya, respectively, from Spain. Bob and Mike Bryan won yesterday, kicking some serious Robredo and Ferrero butt. But, Andy lost to Moya today...I am so sad. It was the US's first final in Davis Cup since 1997. If only Ferrero had played like planned and not Nadal, I bet Andy woulda beaten him Friday. Dammit...on a side, Robredo ended up playing the 4th singles today and Mardy beat him.OK, enough about that. I put up our outdoor candy canes and the reindeer today. Mom put up the soldiers and garlands. I decorated a lighted wreath for the door. Now all we have to do is add lights to the bush outside and cover the door with paper and we will be all Christmas-y outside. We also have to decorate inside. But I love it :)
College Football: Virginia Tech beat Miami! I HATE Miami so I was happy.
Pro Football: The Skins won! I can't believe it. And Ramsey was actually 19 of 22? Are you kidding me? When was the last time the Skins had a qb with those stats???
College Mens Bball: Maryland and GW (my grandmother's alma mater) won in the BB&T classic yesterday (GW was an underdog vs. Michigan State). I was so happy...until GW beat Maryland today...barely. Argh. SO frustrating...
College Womens Bball: WOOHOO! I can't get over it. Penn State women beat #2 UNC. Did you read that? #2! Our first quality win this season. Maybe we will move back in the rankings...but who knows. Oh how I am just so elated.

Adam Richman has a funny post today. Did I post on here that his last post was about The Notebook? I heart The Notebook...it's taking way too damn long to come out on DVD.
So Gavin DeGraw was at House of Blues, New Orleans on Wednesday night. Guess where HoB is located? about 1-2 blocks from our hotel! I can't wait! I hope someone good plays when we're there...
I also found out how close our hotel is to so many other things...including Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville restaurant and Cafe DuMonde. Yay!
OK, it is now time to watch Degrassi...yay...Rick's gonna bring a gun to school. And it's a two parter, with next weeks. And (SPOILER ALERT, CARI) Rick's gonna die. Oh he's such a jerk.

So I want to see the new Wes Craven movie, Cursed, written by Kevin Williamson. The cast includes Christina Ricci, Joshua Jackson, Judy Greer, Scott Baio, Jillian Barberie, Lance Bass, James Brolin, Portia de Rossi, Shannon Elizabeth, Scott Foley, Craig Kilborn, Mya, Michael Rosenbaum, and Milo Ventimiglia. Wow...that's quite a cast. And I didn't even list everyone. But I am confused. The website for the movie gives me the impression this is a sequel to Scream, though people were comparing them on imdb. Plus, look at the web address for the movie. But, other people are saying there are no plans for a Scream 4. Huh? Totally confused...but I still want to see it.
I was looking through the imdb pages for those I did not list, in case I just didn't recognize names. One girl has "Cruel Intentions 3" as a credit. Wait, "Cruel Intentions 2" was bad enough (and a stupid idea) but they went ahead and made a third? How lame...
I have a stuffy nose today. And I've been coughing all morning. Ahhhhhhh. I just want to get healthy!
Even though it was a repeat (but I hadn't seen it the first time it aired), I have to say last night's Without A Trace was very intense (I bawled my eyes out). The kid from Lizzie McGuire was very good in it. But it's just so sad that something like this was on television...meaning that it happens in the real world, which is so scary. Kids are so mean to each other.
I am so mad about Survivor now. There isn't a person left that I have liked the whole time. I think I am rooting for Julie now, but that's only cuz she hasn't pissed me off in the latest episodes. Everyone else pisses me off. One lady swore on her sons life that she would vote one way and she didn't. And another was commenting on how cocky Ami had gotten...only to now be even more cocky herself. I can't believe Eliza is only 18 days older than Jamie. It's so hard growing older...when the people on these shows start to be younger than you.
I am so excited they have narrowed down the possible Craig replacements for The Late Late Show. In case you don't know, they are: D.L. Hughley, Craig Ferguson, Michael Ian Black, and Damien Fahey. I don't know anything about Craig Ferguson except he was on The Drew Carey Show, which I never watched. I like the other 3. I haven't seen D.L. host, though. MIB was pretty good but I really enjoyed Damien. I am not being partial just cuz I have loved Damien since I first saw him on TRL. I think he did a really good job hosting...and my dad thinks so too! And he had never heard of Damien before! Here's an interview Damien did with TV Guide.
I don't feel like doing anything today. I do have to work sometime...I should call and find out when she wants me.

in the stereo: Xmas mix (Bon Jovi and Tony are my 2 favorite xmas songs right now so I always listen to them first)
Cari's still not home. I went crazy at LB and got too much...I found ONE brooch I liked and I liked it so much I had to get it despite its price. I also got a cute scarf, cheap earrings, undies and socks. Yay. Then I swung in Target there and got mom a shredder that our Target didn't have and got Niki's card. And I got a CD of stream sounds. I could listen to it there before buying so that's why I got it. I was worried I wouldn't like it but since I got to listen, I did. Now I am just waiting for Cari to get here so we can get our shit and I can be TOTALLY done.
I got a cardboard cut on my pinky from the box for the shredder. It is on the palm side, right on the knuckle, so it's like SUPER painful. ANd I thought I might gush blood in the store but I didn't. I kept sucking on the cut. When I suck on cuts like that to make it stop bleeding, do you know what I think of? Cari might...if no one else does...
SO I looked it up and there are 4 Curves in New Orleans. 2 are within 5 miles from the hotel and the other 2 are 10 miles. Kinda sucks that they are that far cuz then we have to get transportation to them...we'll see if we go. It was so nice and convenient in Toronto.
PS, my skin no longer looked radiant after my shower. 'sup with that????

We finished the tree last night, which by the way was DECEMBER 1st...ok? :) It's so pretty. I heart our ornaments. Speaking of ornaments, Cari and I are going shopping later. We have to get an ornament for this year (we get one every year with the year on it). We also have to get advent calendars and stocking stuffers for mom. I also need to remember to buy Niki a bday card. I remembered to buy some other bday cards a few weeks back (wink wink) but I blanked out on hers. I knew there was someone else I needed one for but while at the store (I hadn't planned on buying cards then but I saw cards and said "I should get bday cards"), I couldn't think.
I also want to go to LB and use my Real Women dollars...which I finally found. I thought I had lost them and I would've been pissed...cuz who doesn't like to get $50 worth of stuff for $25???? I may get mom a brooch there. They have pretty ones. I may want another one for myself...along with a scarf (they have cute ones this year). We'll see...but I need to shower before I go. Of course, my hair is greasy but I noticed my skin looks radiant today...lol...Every once in a while I am like whoa, what did I do differently that makes my skin look like that? Cuz it's never on days that I actually washed my makeup off (not that I even wore any yesterday...since I didn't leave the house).
OK, I guess I will go. Cari should be back in an hour and a half or so and I want to go to LB before then...lata...
