Oh the kids were adorable today...except one. She pooped in her pants right at the end of the day. And she kept sticking her hand down her pants while I waited for the teacher to come back to change her. It was so smelly and gross. I still get chills thinking about it. Some of these kids, man, are so disgusting.

Well, I wrote in Amy's blog that I had car stories so here we go. I don't remember the order of when things happened but I know what happened.
*One day I was in my car after school with I think Jodi and we were waiting for Cari. This guy came by and said I had a flat tire! We never found out how that happened...
*One day I was working at JCPenney. Larry came to work and said your tire is gone. I was like "what? you're kidding" I totally thought he was joking. So, of course, I had to check my car. Sure enough, someone had propped up my car near the tire with a brick and stole my tire! I had no idea who would do such a thing...but when I left at the end of the day, they told me someone in another part of the mall parking lott had the same thing happen that day so it seemed like it was just people stealing random tires.
*My car is always parked on the street. We had a huge snow storm. The snowplow came down the street and we weren't watching it. We got a knock on the door. The snow plow hit my car and totally knocked out my window! It didn't affect any other part of my car but the window (on the driver's side, mind you). I just had the worst luck with that car ("The Frogmobile")...until Cari got the car and the bad luck!
*Finally, my fourth story is the oddest: the one thing that has happened with the car I currently have. I went out to my car at the end of a day subbing 2 years ago to find it COVERED IN MUD. Dried mud. Apparently, what we think happened was it was a rainy day and parents park in the grass (we have so little parking) in the morning and afternoons. We think someone got their tires stuck in the mud and it kicked it up on my car. So nice of you to let anyone know. And the worst thing was it was only on my car! My car was completely covered. The 2 cars next to me had small spots that were nothing. You should have seen the faces on the guys as I pulled into the car wash that day (luckily I was able to go straight from school to the wash--even though I could barely clean my windshield enough to see). Oh, I was pissed off...

I slept so well last night I didn't want to get up at all. I was actually asleep when my alarm went off, which rarely happens. I hope I sleep like that tonight...since I don't have to get up tomorrow.

Dean, apparently, is taking December off from touring so it will a while before we see him again. Tony tomorrow night though...I still have to get tickets, dammit.

Yay, Gilmore Girls and One Tree Hill tonight! I heart Tuesdays :)

I am tired. Kinda moody (it's that time...). And achy. I need to watch The Challenge (RR/RW BotS...got that?) at 10! So I have to stay up.

I had dates mixed up and my Curves party is next Friday...and my massage is next Saturday. Dammit. But I think I may make mint-in-the-middle cookies. I kinda want to make something else too, but I don't know what (a non-dessert).

The kids were adorable today. And well-behaved. Yay.

We ran out of lights for the tree so it's not done. Mom went by Target today and they had no lights. So, it's still not done. Cari still likes to turn the lights on. She loves having them on always. She's the one who turns them on most days throughout the season.

Got a splinter today. I don't know how and when but I found it when mom was working out at Curves. I couldn't do anything about it til I got home cuz I had no needle or tweezers. Now since it was in so long, it's still painful as hell even though I got it out. Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

OK, time to finish watching 7th Heaven and then go get ready for bed before watching The Challenge. G'nite.

We doin', big pimple, squirt begin
Check it out now
Big pimple, on C-H-I-N
We doin, big pimple on S-K-I-N...

aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I have this huge zit on my chin (could you guess?) and it hurts and it's driving me bonkers.

I am done xmas shopping, except stocking stuffers for mom. I put the tree together yesterday and mom is currently putting on the lights. Cari and I will add ornaments when she gets home. It's starting to feel like Christmas! The Night They Saved Christmas was on earlier. But it was on during the Skins so we didn't watch much. I did notice, however, that the boy in it was on Party of Five (and just found out via imdb that he has been guesting on ER this year). AND, the kicker? The little girl's name in the movie was "Marianne". And yes, it was spelled like that! How often do you see that in movies????? I forgot that movie was made all the way back in 1984! Doesn't feel like I was that young...

In my putt-putting around imdb, I like to look back at message boards I have made comments on to see what others have had to say. I was on the "Degrassi: The Next Generation" board and found that someone posted how "Almighty God, President Bush, and I call on you to reject this show" (ahem, that was the title of her post). Upon checking out her profile, you see that she has posted the same things on boards for Britney, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton. People also mentioned she posted on The OC and Buffy but I can't find those posts (there is a Buffy one but it doesn't say that, just references the The OC one, which I can't find). She also made posts along those lines on boards for Alfie, Desperate Housewives, and Fahrenheit 9/11. Wow. Some people need to get a life. She made the same post on multiple boards, saying "Liberals-Pack your bags and LEAVE AMERICA NOW!!!!" I am sick of this shit, cuz America was based on choice, not everyone agreeing. Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.

I think I may possibly be getting sick again. I have sneezed twice today, feel slightly dizzy, woke up with a stuffy nose, and have a headache, only slightly better since taking medicine. Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I have 3 sub jobs this week and work at Curves like normal (Monday and Friday). If I am sick, it won't be fun. I am in kindergarten all days this week, so hopefully that will be alright. And the 2 classes are right new door (one class Tuesday, the other Monday and Thursday). I also have our Curves Holiday party on Friday before work. Maybe we will have to bring food. I wonder what I should bring? To top off the week, though, we have 2 members at Curves who are sisters and are masseusses (how do you spell that?). They are giving seated back massages one Saturday each month. This Saturday is one and I signed up for one. I can't wait. It's $1 per minute, which seems VERY reasonable...so I will just have to keep that in mind this week.

Alrighty, I am going to go rest my head and watch mom struggle to put on the lights (she's not really struggling but I know it's hard work. I'm just not good at it).

The sun is shining, the ground is dry and I have to go to work. Blah. I just wanted to drop a quick note here before work. Later, I will discuss how my father was an ass yesterday.

I woke up this morning ("with this feeling inside me, that I can't explain"...not really but that's a song lyric and 10 points to whoever guesses right first) with a HUGE headache. I don't know why. I haven't had headaches the past few days. And normally when I wake up with one, I can't feel it until I get out of bed. This one was there the moment I woke up. It's getting slightly better since I took Advil but it's still lingering there. And I don't feel like working. Especially alone. Especially since it will probably be either dead or crazy busy. I would rather it be dead cuz then I can lower the music. But now that I say that, it will probably be busy.

Anyway, enough about that. I think I may leave now. I know it's early but I am home alone and a little bored since I am actually already ready (I have been cutting it close recently). See ya later...and hope all you Americans had a lovely turkey day yesterday!

So I forgot to write about the shows I watched this weekend. On CMT (for those of you who don't know, that's "Country Music Television"), they had "20 Sexiest Men" and "20 Sexiest Women" of country music. I have many problems with their lists. First of all, Tim and Faith were #2 on their respective lists. Excuse me, but they are each by far #1. Tim was beaten by Keith Urban, which made Cari happy, of course. In general the male list was ok, except for the aforementioned bit and also the fact that Toby Keith was #10. Hello! He is NOT sexier than Mark Wills, Blake Shelton and Rascal Flatts. I don't even think he should be on the list anywhere. When I think of Toby Keith, "sexy" is far from my mind.

On the women's list, I have many problems. First, Martina McBride is sexier than Sara Evans and Dolly. I like Sara Evans and all but there is no way she is #3. Leann Rimes is #6? Are you kidding me? Her face looks like a teddy bear not a woman. Sheryl Crow #7? She isn't even country! Julie Roberts is way too new to be #8. And Gretchen Wilson? Speaking of being new...and not being sexy AT ALL. The CMT website lists the lists and says group names but I believe the shows only discussed one memeber of those groups. Such as "Dixie Chicks". The show only talked about Martie. I think Emily is much prettier...but I guess that's only my opinion. and "Trick Pony"? You gotta write the woman's name since she's the ONLY woman in the band. Finally, Trisha Yearwood and Jessica Andrews definitely should be much higher than #19 and #18, respectively. I want to know who made these lists...

Anyway, it's getting rather old how much I talk about the weather being dreary. I think it may be supposed to rain tomorrow too. I think it's just Mother Nature's way of telling us we made the wrong decision in voting for Bush. Wasn't it nasty out the day I finally wrote on here about Bush being pres 4 more years? It hasn't been that lovely outside since the election...I blame red state voters.

It's a good thing I am almost done Christmas shopping cuz the weather doesn't make me want to shop. I still need something for dad. And one more thing for mom. But other than that, I am done. I wish I had the slightest idea about what to get him...

I think I may go have some oatmeal for breakfast. Mmmmmmm

Tuesday, November 23, 2004

Dinner was yummy. My back hurts after putting up a lot of icicles hanging from the ceiling at Curves...then cooking hunched over. I need a massage...

I forgot to post on here about an article I read in Sunday's paper. Have you heard of this group? The article said they have a website but I can't find anything (if you do, let me know) Apparently, Wonkette wrote about them in the summer, twice. You know, as much as I may not want to admit it, the idea sounds good. Raise money for charity, have fun with friends, be proud to be in an exclusive group. Too bad they're all cheerleader/mostly republican types. Let's start a democrat group like that. What do we have to do to start one? And we will accept all women (though, still exclusive) no matter the looks. I'm sure I can find plenty of people to join.

Topper Shutt on CBS shared some predictions of winter weather today. He said we will have ice storms. That is not exciting. I remember a bad one in late 2001/early 2002. I was long-term subbing. I heard about an accident on the way I go to school. I went another way and got stuck in stopped-dead traffic. I couldn't turn around for 20 minutes. I finally listened to the radio and they said we had a delay. I made it to school about an hour late (it takes me 15 minutes or less normally but it took me over an hour). While there, I was getting things ready for the day and the principal came over the PA and announced that school closed. Teachers were cheering in the hallway. It was so funny. My mom had school that day cuz high schools go in a lot earlier...she was so pissed when she found out we didn't. There had been a bunch of accidents that morning.

Anyone hear about the woman in MD who was living with her kids in a storage place? I say woman but I don't know how old she is...she looks 12. It has come to light they may not be her kids...

Time to go watch Maryland basketball...yay!

it's wet and dreary outside again. it's getting very annoying. and i don't feel like using the shift button today.

i woke up this morning and couldn't go back to sleep cuz i was thinking too much plus i was coughing. i eventually went back to sleep but cari just called from work and woke me up. i am still oh so very tired.

i have to go to curves around 1 today. i am helping pam decorate. that's the only reason i said i would come in. i love to decorate. plus, since i will be there, i might as well stay and work out. i have been so horrible about that. you know you're bad when you work at a workout place and you don't workout.

before that i will be heading to target. i am getting some things for mom--from 'santa' and from cari. i am also getting eric things--from cari and from me. after today, i will probably only have dad left. maybe i will find something there for him. hmmm...what can i get there for him...oh gosh i have no idea. and it's a problem if i go in target and start looking around. i buy way too much stuff if i am not only looking for specifics in target. oo, i have to write stickers on my list. i need xmas stickers.

ok, i am going to go shower then putt-putt around for a while before the view/ellen comes on--it's always a toss-up which one i watch, depending on the guests. after that, i will be heading for target and work...then i have to go to the grocery store later cuz i am making dinner...mmm...

So no comments on Penn State winning? *tear* :)

Off to work in a bit. Still have to wash my hair. Decorated some glass ornaments with paint and glitter and they so pretty (Kinda like Jodi speaking of her dog, Trixie, "her so pretty"). I need to find my other glitter though. Blue and clearish white only are not going to make me happy.

It's been so yucky outside recently. The last 4 days (or is it 5?) it has been wet. I haven't seen it actually rain that much but everything is always wet. And it's a mood-downer. We were so empty at work on Friday (probably due to the weather) I can't wait to see if we're busier today. I don't work again until Friday. I offered to work Friday. We close at 5. I'm not going to shop anyway so why not get my Friday hours. I will be alone but it's alright. Course, it will still be dark when I leave since it gets dark at like 10 AM (ok, slight exaggeration).

My goal is to leave the house tomorrow. Not for work but to finish my Christmas shopping. Have ideas for Eric and another present for mom and will have to find something for dad. Argh...he's that hardest to shop for. And he doesn't show us the same respect we give him with presents. For example, he has given mom the same gift twice. She hasn't said anything. And by same gift, I mean EXACT same gardening kit from Brooks Brothers. Yet, if we give him something similar to something in the past, which we don't remember, he says something. I find it kinda disrespectful. Be happy with the gift and don't complain. I asked Eric to find out some things dad wants and he wasn't really any help. What's the point in living with someone and not knowing anything they could use?

Watched Elf with Cari yesterday. It was funny. Cari was laughing so much (about that and other things) all day yesterday it was getting out of control. He made lots of paper snowflakes, which got me really wanting snow. And wanting to make paper snowflakes, which I did. Some are better than others, of course. Too bad I don't have a digital camera I could take pictures of them with and post on here...

Cari also got Rainbow Brite and The Star Stealer on DVD. How exciting is that? Makes me also want old Strawberry Shortcake, Care Bears and even that Cabbage Patch Kids Christmas movie on DVD...

OK, I better get ready for work...I'm rather tired so we'll see how this goes...

Penn State won! Penn State won! Yes, you heard that right. That would be 2 wins in a row! Woohoo! I totally expected us to lose but we looked awesome! We had 5 interceptions, to Michigan State's one. We did soooooo well. Oh you don't understand what joy I feel today. I was worried we would only have 2 wins this season but we have 4! Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I am completely done shopping for Cari for Christmas (as of Thursday), though who knows if I find even more stuff in the next month. I am nearly done mom. And I am done Jodi. I have one thing for dad. The other thing I wanted to get dad was not in the As Seen On TV store and I can't find it online so I guess I have to come up with a new idea. I can't find anything for Eric. Well, maybe online but they are expensive. And we have lost the list of things dad told us about. Ahhhhhhhh...

OK, I am gonna go and just bask in this Penn State win.

Friday, November 19, 2004

It's the weekend! Yay! I can't wait for the final game of Penn State's football season. Hopefully both our offense and defense will show up and we will do half-decently. I am sad I won't have more college football to care about after tomorrow.

I have to remember to watch (tape, actually, since I work) Oprah on Monday. It's her holiday favorite things episode. Yay!

I can't wait for Thanksgiving. I want some good food. I need a good cornbread stuffing recipe that I would enjoy...I don't like much stuffing...

Nothing much to blog about. Curves was boring today. Only 36 people all day (12 hours), which is insane. In 4 hours tomorrow there will be more than that. It may have a little to do with the fact is was wet outside. I didn't rain at all when I was there (almost 5 hours) but it was wet from earlier. Who knows...

I am really getting sick of Americans being so pissed about the Monday Night Football promo with Nicolette Sheridan, from Desperate Housewives, and Terrell Owens. Get over it! No other country would have had this many problems with it. Everywhere else in the world would have either not even thought of the idea because they don't air things sexy like that or they are so open it doesn't matter. Someone wrote into the local news show thing at 7:30 on channel 9 complaining about how the host had spoken about it. The woman who wrote in said something to the effect that Americans aren't for civil unions, don't support transvestites and don't want Desperate Housewives on the air (what they all have to do with one another is beyond me). I am not even going to get into how ridiculous those first two are (don't generalize that all Americans feel that way) but the fact that over 20 million Americans watch Desperate Housewives each week just goes to show that we DO want it on the air. The woman is clearly a conservative and her wording in the letter pissed me off greatly.

I am dead tired. I actually feel slightly relaxed, compared to the last few days. My throat still has a ton of junk in it and I am having coughing fits. But I don't work tomorrow! So, I won't have to talk too much. I do have to teach mom's seniors how to gift wrap...joy.

Hotmail is acting up and so is haloscan. My comments links are not showing up for my blog nor Caris. I got errors trying to make comments on Sarah's blog and one of Amy's entries. I can't even view the haloscan website. Ahhhhhhhhhhh

I feel like eating something sweet. But I don't know what. My appetite is not completely back yet. I feel nauseous sometimes and starving others.

I subbed in a few places today. Was in a fourth grade first thing this morning. Didn't have to do much and the kids were well-behaved so it was fine. Put some things up and made copies for the staff development teacher. Then went to the 4/5 class for a half hour before lunch. The afternoon was spent with the 2/3 class, which was where I was yesterday. I love those boys. They are such darlings. Of course, they do things that drive me nuts but they are so adorable and every single one smiles in a way you can't be mad at them long. And they are becoming so smart. They astound me how far they have all come over the years.

I was in the K/1 class on Monday. The problem girl was absent. The others were pretty well-behaved. Love those kids. The one boy with Downs was answering questions so much and just saying things that cracked me up. He gave me a huge hug. So, both yesterday and today when I saw him I asked for a hug and he hugs so tight. He is such a darling. Oh how I love children...

I guess that's all for now...Hopefully I will be able to not cough and get a lot of sleep tonight...then I will be well!

Tuesday, November 16, 2004

So sorry I haven't blogged since Saturday. That's such a long time. I have been busy working. I had to sub and work at Curves yesterday and today. So I was out of the house for 12 hours both days. Very tiring. My back is absolutely killing me. My cough is really bad and my throat is killing me (it's dry). I am tired as hell. I have to sub tomorrow so I can't sleep in. I am going to keel over...and I don't feel like writing anything else...maybe tomorrow...

I feel so much relief. Penn State won today. Our defense pulled through right when it needed to. Indiana was on the 2 yard line with less than 2 minutes to go and we stopped them 4 plays in a row. That was pretty damn awesome. Yay for my boys. Now, we have matched our 3 wins from last year so that makes me happy. We still have a slight chance of having 4 wins but I don't expect it. Zach looked pretty good. Morelli got to play. Michael did well at receiver only. Anwar almost had an interception (dammit, Germantown!). Of course, the team didn't look perfect but it looked pretty good. Indiana has still never beaten us. That was my biggest thing about a win this week--I didn't want our record against Indiana to change. Woohoo!

Along those same lines, just an FYI. Penn State is one of only 2 teams in the NATION that have only allowed 21 points or less by their opponents in all games. The other team is Auburn, who has no losses. Isn't it a damn shame we have that remarkable stat with a 3-7 record? Before today, Wisconsin was also undefeated and had not allowed more than 21 points. They lost today, allowing 49 points by Michigan State...unfortunately, we play Michigan State next weekend as our last game of the season...

I spent half my time at Curves yesterday sitting down cuz I was so dizzy. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go out with Megan last night and see Lloyd Dobler Effect. I really wanted to go. It was raining really bad all day yesterday so me, slightly dizzy, driving in the rain would not have been good. Hopefully soon I will be able to go.

I feel the worst I have felt today though. It may be because I forgot to take any medicine before Molly's bridal shower. I was coughing a lot and my throat is awful. I sound bad...I have always wanted to lose my voice. I am sure people wish that sometimes too--that I wouldn't be able to talk. But I have never lost my voice. You know, I am quiet when I first meet you but I talk a lot once you know me. After working at Penney's for a while, Wanda bet me I couldn't shut up for 15 minutes. I totally did it and she never gave me whatever it was she was supposed to. She couldn't believe I could be quiet that long...lol...

In the stereo: All-American Rejects

I love All-American Rejects. It doesn't hurt that the lead singer is so hot...those blue eyes! Love their lyrics, good music...they may be my current fave. No one will ever take Bon Jovi and Bush's places though...no matter if they are still around or not.

I just went to Giant to get what we need for dinner. I was walking to the car and someone yelled out his window. I didn't understand what he said exactly but I looked around and no one else was around. I came to the conclusion he yelled something negative about Penn State. It did kinda sound like that. But it really pisses me off. You don't know me. We are not at a game. Don't yell shit like that at me just cuz I am wearing a sweatshirt...asshole...

My throat feels so dry today. I keep coughing, which doesn't help. Cari called and says she blames me for getting her sick. We both were getting sick this weekend so technically, it could be either of our faults...she's getting off early and then we can be sick together. Mom won't be home til 9 or so, so we could have a party. A sick party. With no guests. Wow, sounds fun.

in the stereo: usher

Clicking on links on websites, I found this article. Wow, someone has a warped sense of the country (he apparently had so many people commenting on his blog--democrats--that he disabled them). He says "My life’s goal is to see the Democratic Party virtually obliterated and left as a rump of people like Stephanie Herseth who both mostly agree with us anyways and are easy on the eyes." so what would we have? One party? Everyone agrees on everything? What kind of a country would that be? That would suck. My least favorite sentence was "They rejected the Democrat Party and the pernicious things that those people stand for." Of course, with my lack of vocabulary knowledge, I had to look up the word "pernicious". Wow, that is harsh for him to say that. I can't believe that. I just don't have words for it. I am stunned. My favorite line was "Forgeries and lies failed to produce the results that they wanted." Actually, they did produce what the republicans wanted. There were so many forgeries and lies told by them it's ridiculous. The fact that republicans say that democrats did all this lying and not acknowledging the fact they lied MORE is really astounding.

Anyway, I have been coughing and sneezing all day, my nose is stuffy and my throat is killing me. I am now feeling dizzy and light-headed. I thought I was getting sick starting Saturday but it keeps not coming full force. Maybe that's a good thing but it's still frustrating cuz I don't know if I am sick or not. I've been popping vitamin C and multi-purpose vitamins, hoping that will help. I tried to nap today but things would come on the tv that I would want to see. Or with the tv off, it was too quiet and I thought too much. I wish there was a hot liquid I could drink that I liked. I hate tea. I really don't want coffee. I am avoiding chocolate so that's no to hot chocolate. I wish we had a Wawa somewhere nearby. I loved their hot caramel. Any suggestions?

I have been in my new sweatshirt all day. It's fabulous and new--so it's super soft. I got it 50% off this weekend (it's Penn State of course). It's light blue. I love it. I even wore it during part of my workout today cuz it was so cold in there. Julie was working and wearing 3 sweatshirts...and she's pregnant. Aren't you supposed to get hot when pregnant?

Well, I guess I will go. I may try to watch GH, which I haven't watched but one episode in the last month or so. I miss it but I really only care about a few storylines. It's just a pain cuz no matter which job I am at, I miss it, so I can only watch it on my days off or if I tape it, which obviously hasn't worked. I have probably 4 tapes lying around here with GH's on that I never watched. I took off my automatic taping setting on my VCR finally after not watching...oh well...I still get Soaps In Depth...now my back hurts, another sign I may be sick. And the dizziness is overwhelming me...

I am in love with the things I am finding on Cafe Press:
~one really awful print
~my favorite slogan
~love this
~poor kitty
~my president is charlton heston...not
~I am such a liberal

My head is killing me. I was hoping by not eating chocolate, this would help. But apparently the caffeine in chocolate is not my problem...unless it has to get out of my system still.

I had a pretty good day subbing today. Unfortunately, I was asked to come to work at Curves tonight. I am so tired. Luckily, I have tomorrow and Thursday off (half days for school--parent conferences).

My knee is prettier today. So purple. Yuck...

Went to Trader Joe's after school and got some whole wheat pasta, that I am cooking right now to eat before work. I hope I like it. I also got some cheese spread I hope I like. And "Joe Joe's", their sandwich cookies. This time I got the vanilla ones, since I am avoiding chocolate. We'll see if I'll like them to eat enough. Cari doesn't like vanilla ones. Sometimes, I get sick of them after a sitting or two so we'll see if buying them was worth it. I also bought some sweet potato chips...yum!!!

Found this site's link on Adam's blog (for his link, see right). I don't know where this came from and how accurate it is but it seems believable.

Wear black Tuesday.

This is my new favorite t-shirt. Love it!

Well, no surprise we lost. At least our offense looked slightly better. One interception on the first play of the game but it was our 2nd string quarterback who was playing wideout but was handed the ball on a lateral. Other than that, we had no turnovers, which is quite exciting. Our QB threw for over 50%, which is an improvement. Too bad we let them score in the 3rd otherwise it could have been OT.

Today it just occurred to me that I really am 25. I had to think about something today and I was like "wait, I'm 25". It's so very sad. I think I confuse myself on my age cuz I try to think of myself as 23 all the time.

I banged my knee on some wood pole yesterday after the game. It got scratched up and now there's a pretty bruise. It was painful sleeping last night. Ahhhhhhhh

I want to vomit each time I see Bush on the TV. There is this channel up at Penn State that shows national, state, and local news, as well as weather and sports stuff on a scroll all the time, with a radio station as the sound. They wrote up there about something Bush said...that he also said 4 years ago and yet obviously it didn't happen. I am blanking on what it was but it just makes me sick. He always says one thing and does another. So funny that republicans accuse democrats for doing it and don't accept the fact that their people do it too...and are probably better at it (and I don't mean that in a positive way).

Hopefully this picture will show up. My thoughts exactly...brought to me by Jamie's mom.

Joe made a good post Wednesday. Every time I see that "end of the world" video, I just crack up. It's so fabulous...and true.

The OC was on last night! Yay! Summer is even more fabulous this year. The show didn't excite me that much. I guess I was looking forward to it so much that anything might be a let down. But, it was good to see Ryan smile so much. And hopefully Theresa is gone forever (yeah right). And Seth is the best. Mischa Barton actually seems better this year. Not as much overacting. I am still not a fan of hers, keep in mind! I can't wait for more Seth/Summer banter this year. I heart them. But not in real life. He's totally mine--I can take Rachel Bilson...don't you think? She's so skinny...

I guess that's all I have to say right now. It's good to have the computer working again. Of course, we are leaving in a few hours so I won't be able to be online long. I didn't sleep well this morning. I woke myself up around 7 to make sure Sally opened ok (she hasn't opened before) and I couldn't go back to sleep. I was only out of bed maybe 5 minutes and I had been so dead to the world before I woke up but yet I couldn't fall back asleep. Of course, it doesn't help that Cari got up and her room's florr is VERY squeaky. ahhhhhhhh...have a good weekend all!

the weather matches my mood--gray and raining

ahhhhhhhh. Of all times for the computer to start acting up again, it happen around the election. I am blogging now from the computer as it freezes every 10 SEConds. it is so screwed UP that IN ORDER TO TYPE NORMALLY CAPS LOCK IS SCREWING UP AND SOMETIMES IT HAS TO BE ON. IGNORE THE capital letters because it's just the computer. Because I can still type during frozen moments and it types it in, I am not retyping everything. I say it types it in but sometimes it is repeating words I typed. And missing some letters so parts of words are merged together. ANYWAY...

This is all bullshit. I cannot believe so many Americans support one of the worst presidents our country has ever had. I cannot believe he won the popular vote. I hope all my fears are not realized in the next 4 years. I hope women still have the right to a legal abortion. I hope we end this war in the next few months and a new one DOES NOT begin. I hope we get other countries to be on our side for things again. I hope my taxes aren't raised through the roof. I hope I get health insurance and it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg. There's so many more things that I just can't think straight right now. I am not one of the people who cried about this, though I am sure you are all surprised. Cari told me 2 people that cried during Kerry's concession speech. I have been almost in tears over this but they haven't flowed yet.

At least my dad now lives in a state that did go for Kerry. Yay, PA. Boooo VA. I talked to Sarah yesterday. I tell you later why I called her. But I totally blanked out on the fact that she is in Ohio right now! She said there were heated arguments in classes yesterday. I can't believe all my birthday wishes went kaput. What's the point of making birthday wishes if nothing comes true? This country sucks.

OK that's enough about politics. So I got a birthday card from Stacey in the mail yesterday. In it was a picture of a baby in Redskins gear. Writing inside the card revealed he was born in March, 5 weeks early. His name is Charles James. She told me to give her a call and she'd tell me all about their "new little man". I'm sorry, you had a baby 8 months ago? I'm sorry, you were pregnant? So nice that I didn't even know you were pregnant. So, of course, I immediately called Sarah, who was just as surprised as me. Not just because we haven't talked to Stacey in years but the fact that they didn't even want kids. I just can't get over it. Sarah and I talked about other things but she just kept going back to this.

I finished all of The OC season one last night. Just in time for the new season tonight! Yay!

Enough of this shit. The computer keeps beeping at me and screwing up what I type so I just have to go. (FYI, my grammar sounds awful but it's the computer's fault, I swear!) I have to get ready for work, where I will be for 8 hours BY MYSELF. At least I get to go away this weekend, to Penn State where there were numerous Kerry supporters. Not that Penn State will win...cuz you know how everything has been going for anything I support. Keep your heads held high and hope for the best...even though the way this country is going is anything but uphill. Joe: you may be seeing us soon. Who knows how many of us will last in this country much longer.
